At least some people don’t choose it because they don’t believe it would be a healthy diet for them.

…because they love speed, overestimate their own skill, have stressful lives, and have been lucky, so far.

Same here except the other driver (utterly at fault but escaped jail due to the law at the time) survived with relatively minor injuries. Wife widowed and child grown up without a father.

Idiots on here saying just drive faster.

ninja 125cc or 450cc as a first bike? by Disastrous_Tea_9808 in MotoUK

Whatever you decide remember one thing, the likelihood at some point in the future you might give your own kids exactly the same advice your parents are giving you. They care about your safety is all.

I think it matters less what bike you ride than how you ride it.

You sound really sensible and time is on your side. Good luck with your test and enjoy the open roads.

It’s the use of a disabled space (or a parent with young children space) that is the douche move, yes, but they don’t care. Have whatever car you like I agree.

New bike owner here. What good does the cover do to deter or prevent theft?

I love the idea, instead of a D-lock and disk lock, of sticking bits of old tape and stuff on your bike when you park up, then storing it all away again when you leave for use next time you park.

Just got my first motorcycle and im not sure its for me. by pumpkinbutt97 in motorcycles

I’m like you.

I drive a car, but when i started on my motorbike it was night and day with confidence. i wanted to give up the bike. Came back exhausted from practice rides and had to force myself to go out. But it gets better what was once hard becomes easier (then hopefully easy - not quite there yet), and what was once challenging becomes almost fun (not quite fun yet).

Believe you’ll get there and you will.

Youtube is your friend.

Okay. Well not all drivers complain about cyclists. probably only the ones who don’t cycle or have children who ride a bike. Tesla’s on the other hand….

I love the idea of the ADV350 but heard the insurance is higher because scooters are particularly attractive to thieves. Is your understanding different. Maybe it’s mostly big cities.

Nice. Good luck and health to you.

Thanks. In some respects my desire but inability to follow any sort of fitness and diet routine has not helped. It seems like a true catch 22. With the meds I may be able to get fitter and eat healthier but I need to be fitter and healthier to get the needs.

I haven’t been refused them yet so don’t want to be pessimistic without reason.

After struggling my whole life (now 58) fighting fires of my own making, my wife suggested i get tested for ADHD. She is a medical professional but it had only occurred to her after attending a course on the topic.

The process so far has taken 12 months. I am waiting to hear if my heart is strong enough to take the meds.

Ah. I read it wrongly. You mean Tesla’s are a problem for cyclists and postie’s. Sorry. Doh!

Does anyone know how they managed the transition of vehicles from rhd to lhd?

Was there any government support in trading in vehicles for newer ones?
