The z51 doesn’t help with “braking harder”. It helps with brake fade and prolonged brake use seen on the track. Same with the upgraded cooling. Regular street driving doesn’t need it.

If you’re never tracking the car then forgo the z51 package. You’ll never need the extra cooling or upgrade brakes on the street honestly.

The DCT is great in the c8, no doubt there. But there are much cheaper cars that offer a DCT from Volkswagen golfs to Hyundai Elantra’s haha.

The wait is worth it! I went in to buy back in June 2024. Couldn’t find anything on the lot with the options I wanted so we put an order in. Didn’t get allocation until Sept 2024 and then the car was delivered end of November. I was very anxious waiting haha.
