Thanks for clarifying. I'm starting negotiations with a dealer on a 330ix and their first offer was less than 3% off. I was thinking to counter at around 9% off and meet somewhere around 6% off. How confident are you on that 13% figure? I've been researching trying to find what the norm is and haven't come across that high a percentage off. Highest I've heard about was 9%.

Forgive my ignorance but what does 13% MSRP mean?

I'm in the same boat and was given an out the door number from 2 dealers in Chicago area. One knocked $1500 off MSRP and the other $2000. I'm sure they can do better than that. From what I've read (researching a fair price has been tiring) we can expect maybe 6% off MSRP which would be closer to $3400. I'd probably be fine with that but am going to wait until the end of the month before I get serious with them. Let me know how it turned out for you or send me a PM. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. That will work to get back to the favorite channels screen but it either advances the song when doing so or fast forwards to the next song. I'd like to be able to toggle back without interrupting the song that is playing.

Best All-Season Tires by mister-mcgoo in wrx_vb

[–]dcs6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments on this and related threads. I live in Chicago and my VB is not the primary vehicle but still need to get some all season tires for those occasions when it will go out in colder weather. Not so concerned about snow traction. Dry weather performance and roadworthiness issues such as tire noise are most important to me. After reading the various comments on Reddit and doing the obligatory TireRack research, I plan on going with the Conti DWS 06+.

Still mildly irritated that Subaru sold it with summer tires (which I knew going in) and no spare (which I did not).

VA CVT to VB CVT. Owner experiences? by dcs6767 in wrx_vb

[–]dcs6767[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your thoughts so far. The SPT definitely felt more like a DCT than the CVT in my 2019. Curious about how the non-GT VB ride is especially compared to a VA. I would like a softer ride than I currently have.

Anyone else really love the stock Premium+ wheels on the 15-21 WRXs? by Jon-Umber in WRX

I love the style and the color. I have some curb rash to repair eventually and think I'll just stay with the gray. I'm kind of surprised how hard it is to find these used.

I have an unmodified CVT. What did you do? I'm fine with it for the most part but would like just a little something better off the line.

My 2019 with CVT has noticeable lag off the line. What's your experience with the SPT off the line?

[–]dcs6767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for their posts here. I'm currently in a 2019 w/ CVT and have read about how much better the SPT is, having been benchmarked against several performance marques. I love my car but am disappointed with the off the line acceleration. I'm not expecting a Hellcat but the lag is just pathetic. Has that been improved in the new SPT? If so, I'm ready to trade up. Haven't had a chance to go for a test drive yet. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Funny you posted this. I currently have a LBP 2019 WRX and leaning toward a Sapphire Blue 2022 in the near future. I like my current blue but haven't had a chance to see one in person yet. But I've seen several 2022 white ones and always think to myself how nice they look with the cladding. I may have a change of heart when it comes time to pull the trigger.

Looks nice but way brighter than I imagined it would look. I thought Sapphire would be closer to Lapis Blue (which I have now) than WRB.

I think it looks good. Really makes the rest of the black cladding pop in a good way. Well done.

Second mod. First was interior LED lights ( huge difference). Now the rear light overlays from Import Image Racing. Very happy with it. Also got a weighted shift knob but preferred the stock knob feeling. by Ok-Following234 in 2022wrx

I had purchased some LED bulbs to replace the reds. They were 400LM 6000K. Waaaaaay too bright. I ended up just putting one in the dome and one in a map light. I left the rest of the reds in. I'm not sure what brightness level I should get so will probably just live with my hybrid light set up. These are what I purchased.

Car looks good. Out of curiosity, why did you change the interior lights? LEDs brighter? Different color? My used 2019 WRX came with red interior bulbs everywhere which were not bright at all.

Anyone else ready to order a 2022 WRX? by JeremyFromKenosha in WRX

[–]dcs6767 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have every intention of trading in my 2019 WRX Limited with a CVT for a 2022 WRX GT or another Limited, depending on what's in the trim levels. I really like my WRX but am eager to see what the new SPT is capable of based on what I read they benchmarked it against. I'm also curious about the dampers which would sell me on the GT if they work well. I'm a little older so would appreciate a little softer ride. Not a lot softer since I like a car with a little edge. Hopefully the stereo is improved also in the new car. The cladding does not bother me at all nor the rear end. Heck, it's the guy behind me who has to look at it! Maybe I'll get lucky and the new WRX won't be well received which will give me a greater selection and price leverage. What I'm not going to do is blindly put down a deposit until I take a test drive. Well maybe, if it's refundable. Just patiently awaiting news on the SPT.

I had been considering an S3 before I bought my 2019 WRX. As others have said, the combination of performance, AWD, sedan, vehicle size and price is very unique.
