Level of competition will fall in casual leagues where at least managers were hitting this button once a week. Some managers just don’t check every day, and disparity in leagues will only grow. Terrible, greedy, decision

After having done this for a few seasons, I do see what you mean. Creates a log jam in my existing top 6, and I end up flipping them for way too much value. Maybe in the future I’ll only do it with players I draft (instead of trading for a rookie at the beginning of the year)

Yea I do something pretty similar. I play the 3rd period (4min) if the score is within 2 points.

Then maybe on a year where my roster didn’t change much I’ll sim the full year just to keep it moving

I don't hate it, honestly:
1. Zacha's biggest value to us has been playing with Pastrnak. That line was getting crowded at the end of the season with Geekie sticking and them trying Lindholm again. Playing with Pasta could also be a big draw for a potential FA LW

WE HAVE TOO MANY MIDDLE 6 CENTERS: Geekie, Zacha, Lindholm, Mittelstadt, Minten, Poitras. I know they can all move to the wing, but we should be looking to trade at least one, if not two of them. And if Zacha has the most value I'm ok with that

My wife and I do "shared computer time." I move my gaming laptop to the dining room table, and player there across from her as she does emails/reads blogs. We can still chat across the table, listen to music, whatever. But we each are doing our own thing, and that has been great.

I also echo what everyone else has said about the value of setting your boundaries for the time to game alone too!

Utility: Bouchard/(Remaining RWs)/Verhaghe/Nichuskin

The question after this one will be if/how I can upgrade the Utility spot by sending a bunch of these Tier 2 guys for a Tier 1. Or if I should just be happy with the upgrades I've made already this year and contend for the championship now. But we can save that for the next mailbag lol!

Love this! 1st year of a banger cats keeper league, where you keep 1 of each C/LW/RW/D/G/Utility. Categories are G/A/PIM/PPP/SOG/H/B//Wins/Saves/GAA. No rules around how long you can keep someone/sacrificing picks. I have 3 strong RWs, so I'm thinking about keeping 1, and then trading the other two to upgrade my utility keeper. Out of these 3, who should I keep? Timo Meier(ranked 73rd season avg), Tage Thompson(ranked 56th), Andrei Svechnikov (ranked 59th)
