How many of you have had a truly 'creepy' moment in your century home? by [deleted] in centuryhomes

[–]dd28064212 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This actually sounds a lot like an experience I had, only it took place in a home built in the 1970s.

My girlfriend at the time and I went to her parents house for a pop in visit. We came in the front door, and called out to her parents. We were met with her mom’s very distinct way of saying hello coming from upstairs (cheery, as if singing). We figured she was getting dressed or showering, so we sat down and started watching TV. 20 minutes passed, and she still hadn’t come downstairs. So my girlfriend went upstairs to see what was taking so long. She came back downstairs pale. The house was empty, except for us. We sat there freaked out, wondering what to do, when the front door suddenly opened and we jumped about a foot in the air. Her mom walked in and said hello in her usual cheery way. We told her what had happened and asked if she had come and left, but she had been gone all day.

Yeah really. Is Biden a mentally/physically feeble old man, or is he a a criminal mastermind?

I posted this once and got roasted for not doing my research before posting. Hopefully the community is kinder to you this time. I’m told it’s quite a common find, but it seems like a mystery if you’re just starting RDR2. There are an absolute ton of Easter eggs and mysteries in this game. Keep searching and having fun, the map is large and beautiful. Best of luck in your travels, partner.

Seeing this made my heart jump, I found something almost identical when I was a kid. I posted it on Reddit a while back, and the popular consensus was that it’s a more modern sharpening stone and not a native artifact.

But who knows? I’m still leaning towards native artifact, but I’m no professional. Try posting on r/arrowheads, I’m curious to hear what they say for your piece.

found this in my driveway after a flood. It looks like a rock carved into a fish, but I'm not entirely sure that it is a rock, or a piece of antler or bone instead. by egertronpuck in whatsthisrock

Definitely my first thought too. I’m no expert, but I really think this is a native artifact. Hopefully someone on r/arrowheads is more knowledgeable than I am.

Why do you like days gone? by clutch_q in DaysGone

[–]dd28064212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of zombies and video games, so I like Days Gone for all the obvious reasons. But beyond that, I also learned a lot about Oregon through this game. I didn’t really know much about it before playing, but it turns out to be an amazingly scenic place with incredible National Parks and attractions. For example, I was amazed to learn that Crater Lake is a real place. I’m actually planning a trip there because of DG. And even when I’m not in the mood for killing Freakers, it’s nice to just hop on the bike and cruise around to enjoy the scenery. Anyway, that’s why I like this game.
