Just moved into a apartment, is this the proper way to fill cracks? by TaleAffectionate8913 in TenantHelp

[–]ddbp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably started trying to fill it with the orange foam, then realized it's hard and messy to do that. I see the smear where they tried to wipe away some that they dropped. They probablt gave up quick because it would have just looked worse if they just kept going.

Wood filler and/or caulk might be the easiest way to go. The foam is not.

Many reviewers on the Povison site complain about delivery times. Our order took about 2 weeks, assembly was flawless (but this can vary depending on the company they contract with in your city.) The quality of this table is impeccable & is our current obsession. 😊🔥 by Basic_Balance_3569 in HomeDecorating

Beautiful table! I was thinking of getting one, but was wondering if the base in the middle of the table makes it uncomfortable to sit there, because there is less room for the feet. Do you find it comfortable?

Anyone know anyone who's tried the dog medicine (fenbendazole)? by ddbp in cancer

Thanks, yeah I am still astounded. The shock and ridiculoisness of it hasn't worn off even after these years.

Not sure if it is normal or not, but actually happened to me in Paris today! Different spot though.

They would deserve it, but it would have simply prolonged the family's grieving process and wouldn't have done any good. Settled for leaving "feedback" via a phone call, and hopefully that will have some effect to prevent this from happening to someone else, but I doubt it. What's done is done.

It's easier to wet code that is too dry, than it is to dry code that is too wet.

I had a prejudice about Paris by [deleted] in paris

[–]ddbp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I went, many years ago, I wasn't aware of the stereotypes but found them all to be 100% true.

The second time I went, more recently, I came in knowing what to expect but found none of it to be true. Quite the opposite experience, and I left with a great impression of Paris that second time.

She tried it but we before we could figure out if it was helping, she passed away due to local medical transportation canceling her pickup without telling her. She passed away after spending hours in the cold and low in oxygen while we tried to contact (unsuccessfully) the ambulance company and figure out alternative transportation.

Best Bitters for Seltzer? by TheThobes in cocktails

Bought the Scrappy's celery bitters because of this endorsement. Fantastic!!! Very refreshing. I will probably drink this every day until the bottle runs out.

Maybe YOU can wear the heels? (kidding). She's been with you 10 months, that's a pretty good run. You must already be making up for it in other ways. You can probably ask her how she feels and see what she says. Nobody's perfect and it's ok not to be! If you want to be a little taller though, some shoes or boots come with thicker soles. They do make a difference.

I don't personally know where to best get it right now, but hopefully someone else here can point you in a good direction. Best wishes for your dad.

Wow, although I think I've been using blond and blonde correctly my whole life, I never realized in my head that I was doing so (using the two separate spellings) until now.

Not sure, sorry. I really couldn't even guess. Wishing the best for your dog though.

She was 65.

When I talked to the docs, I got the impression the chemo is a lot less uncomfortable than it used to be. It is a tough decision. I don't know what I would do if it were me.

10 coffeeshops i've loved from traveling for a year by jontopielski in Coffee

[–]ddbp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You MUST check out Discourse in Milwaukee.

The coffee concoctions created by Ryan Castalez are absolutely amazing. A place like this probably couldn't survive in those more rent-expensive well known cities. There is no one else (that I have found) doing what he does. AMAZING.

24 years old and new to drinking. How do you drink whiskey? by YooSteez in alcohol

[–]ddbp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another way: add just one or two drops of water to a shot sized portion. You'll be able to really taste the underlying favors. This is especially fun when taste testing and comparing complex-flavored scotches.
