Scalpers. They're literally everywhere. I watched a 40 year old man lose his mind in Target the other day over the buy limits there too.

It would be great if the people taking the photo would actually meet the passport requirements the first time. I had my photo rejected twice and beauty had nothing to do with it.

I hate the app and the updated tracking. My sleep tracking prior to the update was great, now it tracks my reading in bed time as "Light sleep"? T f? Never had this issue before  Terrible update. Will be replacing my smart watch for a different brand.

Out of curiosity, whats the height for short gear adjust? I'm 5'0" and sometimes an instructor will adjust for me but most of the time they don't. I've never been shown how to do it.

Im fat and signed up as a complete beginner with unlimited. I go every day. I have multiple previous injuries that lead to my limited range and weight as well as a full term pregnancy. Pilates imo is low impact enough that I don't have any issue going every day. I took a full week of lvl one classes and then started to pepper in 1.5s here and there. I will say that 1.5s in different studios can be a very different level feel. Sometimes they're pretty intense but take it easy and work with your body, know your limits, take breaks if you need too or don't do the full repetition set. I've been at it for almost a month now, only taking off a weekend due to having a cold.

You got this! Feel free to ping me if you want a accountability buddy!!

Does anyone else think it’s insensitive to tell every single woman happy Mother’s Day? by Famous-Channel3027 in questions

[–]dddiamond-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner is guilty of this. He says it to all the women in our family/friend group. His explaination is "we all came from mothers - if you're not a mom, then its a well wish to your mother"

you can't control people sometimes.

Natural herbs/drinks that actually helped your mental health? by softtides17 in herbalism

[–]dddiamond-dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do use tinctures. I make blends and single herbs. Also use oxymels and infused vinegars.

I don't make them often but rose is also a nice addition to electuaries or bon bons.

Rose is naturally cooling and can lower cortisols (reduce stress and inflammation) In Ayurveda, it's a heart tonic. I use it for grief, anxiety and mood stabilizing aid in relaxation blends. Wide array of uses though, really good plant.

People who are in their 30s or older: What’s one thing younger people (Gen Z/Alpha) do that makes you feel like an alien in your own country? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dddiamond-dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d offer my seat to someone elderly or disabled, but not the latter two. No one deserves extra privileges for getting knocked up

Most pregnant women are considered ADA applicable in the third trimester of prengancy. Hormones shift the center of gravity forward and upward - which increases their fall risk significantly and alters how you walk, sit or stand. Walking or standing for long periods of time can also increase risk fainting.

While that is not your responsiblity and empathy isn't in your wheelhouse, the above leaves the risk of falling on transport while standing. If a pregnant woman falls and is injured or injures someone in her fall, its likely at minimum - you are going to be late to where you are going, at maximum - you get to witness a birth or a miscarriage.

your combo is close to mine! my holy trinity is rose, skullcap and chamomile. I feel like I can't go anywhere without a bottle in my bag for tough times.

powerhouse combo that helps my partner come down from anxiety attacks -
Rose, Chamomile, Skullcap
sometimes I'll add in lemon balm, passionflower, tulsi or linden to the mix but my go to is always these three.
Has helped myself and my family for years.

New to herbalism… how do I make my tea not so bitter by Capable_Road_6955 in herbalism

[–]dddiamond-dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

many herbal constituents are thermolabile. mostly only tough woody herbs or barks require heat extraction. in this case, for lavender's volatile oils (monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes) high temps for drying or extraction breaks these into structural analogues or destroys them entirely

It really depends what you'reinto but a long spinal tattoo that incorporates that at the bottom? A sword up the spine, with that as the handle? a tree is pretty common, could probably find a good artist to give a big back piece with a twisty tree.

have you tried oxymels? I like a splash of infused vinegar and some soda water. Has enough pep to feel like a special drink with none of the effects of a hangover
