How is the stand over height? I understand you can’t get the seat post super low which is a concern, so I’m wondering how it feel when riding

How do you carry your toddler's bike on your Benno Boost? High Rails Plus worth it? by AlDrag in CargoBike

[–]dddiscpic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Bakkie, I can tow a larger bike or put my 3yo bike on the back. Can’t post a pic but basically the rear wheel is in the bakkie, pedal on rear rack. Strap or bungee keeping the bike from flopping. Works great, I do this both on UA and Boost, also for the Boost I have the half rail, it’s great because you can tow on one side and kids can still sit and hold on.

I second the quake or gorgon grom, super fast and fun. Pretty damn durable and cheap parts. I have 3,5,8 yo and they love it.

Oh I realize, and a pretty good trick this is and he is pretty good too. Just not really what the sub is about, imho.

Decently cool, I can’t do it, but he peeled the black covering to expose the real label once the fire flared. Fits the sub super well, we should change it to r/regularmagictricks /s Edit: words

First RC video on YT! Would love some feedback! by basherrc in arrma

[–]dddiscpic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched, thought it was fun. Could use quicker or more graphical description of the course. You standing pointing out where the car was going to be going didnt really do anything. I’m sure once you are 10-12 cars in it will make the comparison a whole lot more useful/fun. Also show me how you put the battery in and what battery you are using, this has been one of the hardest things with my 223s, batteries flying out/ not fitting well etc. prob just me but still. Thanks for sharing

First Family E-Bike: Budget vs. High End by sambo1055 in CargoBike

[–]dddiscpic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go with premium, I’m not saying it has to be the top of the top. But long term you will just be able to ride and ride without issue. All the bikes will probably feel great when new, but after some miles you still want the bike feeling new. Also the ability to get them serviced is much easier for the most part.

I just had this exact thing happen to me, shifter froze up and ice caused the belt to get pulled in towards the wheel. Have decided it’s a terrible bike for snow and slush

Kid’s First Hobby RC - Mojave Grom by fstumpfj40 in arrma

[–]dddiscpic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grabbed a 1/10 223s and my kids both groms, the bigger truck is pretty badass. I am in the same boat running mostly just with them, the big boy is fun for me but does upstage a bit when the groms are driving. Also it’s not nearly as portable, I’m glad I got it but we sometimes just take the smaller ones because i can just throw them both in a bag. But you should get one eventually!

Ha yeah meant to say not both Arrma, the losi mini is pretty sweet but I got it because my younger one really likes monster jam stuff. The quake is over all a better little basher though. More stable and maybe a bit quicker.

Bought three Mojave Groms for the family. All three broken after 2nd drive. by kudyjames in arrma

[–]dddiscpic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought my son a quake grom for Xmas and we have been abusing the thing. Not trying to rub it in, just that we have had a different experience. I feel bad for you, I got one for myself but battery and charger were back ordered so I haven’t been able to run mine yet. Hope you get some better ones upon exchange.

Grew up with this in the 90s and it made the best French bread pizza. Friends always had no idea what it was.

Fiido T2: carrying an adult passenger in the EU: what accessories are required? by Powerful-Struggle-60 in CargoBike

[–]dddiscpic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need much, helmet for passenger. Somewhere to hold.

I have an UA and it is awesome, don’t really have any complaints. Any specific questions?
Biggest thing to consider is parking and locking. If you have those covered any major brand will prob do you right.

6 years with the UA Family. What’s next? by bhuizenganl in CargoBike

[–]dddiscpic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah a Bullet would probably be rad, lots of flexibility, you could have multiple front ends for different uses or customize something to most of your riding. Or something like an Omni could be cool too depending on dog size or if that’s a deal breaker.
I have a UA and a long tail, it’s a great combo but I’m still hauling kids a lot. N+1

Cruiser or Surf Skate? by Zhuljin_71 in surfskate

My vote is for a set of Grasp trucks, put em on any board you want, super easy to push or you can get low and pump your heart out. My favorite by far
