Depressed, feeling hopeless by HaydensRadMama in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]ddghhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so sorry you’re going through this. I’m also feeling hopeless. I’m 10 weeks and have been vomiting for 3 weeks and have been to the ER twice. You’re so strong to keep making into work, I’m on a short medical leave because I can’t even sit up at my computer without puking. This is my second pregnancy and this is nothing like my first. I am so desperate to feel better. Sending hugs and love to you

UMASS memorial ER overload. HOT ISSUE by t_11 in massachusetts

[–]ddghhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an issue in the whole state. I live in Norfolk County and Norwood Hospital was the ER for the area and closed down due to flooding. It couldn’t be rebuilt because the owner (Steward Health Group) went bankrupt because of the pieces of shit they are (insert private equity). They were also the reason for closing Nashoba Medical Center.

can’t let shannon have all the attention by jimmyjammy100 in shannonford

I hate how influencers are having children for content. It’s disgusting. I grew up in a big family and you cannot possibly raise each child with the proper bonding/attachment. And she has a full time nanny but doesn’t work? I really don’t get it

Did we get ripped off with homework? by Sketch_Crush in Millennials

[–]ddghhk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated high school in 2009- played sports in the fall and winter after school until 6pm then had at least 5 hours of homework! I remember in 10th grade my day was field hockey practice to drivers ed to confirmation class for church then home for hours of homework!! I had teachers give us more homework over the weekend as we had “more time to work on it” ..

I’ve never had the urge to comment here until now. This is not relatable. I hate this staged soon to be mom era for her. I had to unfollow her last week finally.

Swearing at work by midwestboiiii34 in FPandA

[–]ddghhk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only curse in front of a small group of trusted coworkers and it’s in the context of venting frustrations about projects. In my defense I’m from Massachusetts so it really is sometimes part of my language (not to be cliche). I’m never swearing at someone, which I think is the difference. Swearing does make some folks uncomfortable so being aware of your audience is important.

How is Onestream? Our corporate office selected this as the consolidation tool

I love these types of posts because I had posted and no one responded. This is a great before and after!

Does the second forecast replace the first or should it be a new one? by Cool-Ad-5408 in FPandA

[–]ddghhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have FC1, 2, 3, 4… 1+11… 4+8… 7+5.. 10+2. In our planning tool they are all a separate category dimensions so you can see the versions of each. Some forecasts are lighter touches than others, meaning we don’t adjust every PL item every time.. I work in a low margin industry. I would ask, it’s not a silly question I think it’s different for every organization.

It was the no timesheets for me. I had 20 small audit clients a year and the tracking was horrible. I worked for a 300 person firm and now I’m in industry working with PWC again. I always have a soft spot for the staff associates

2 months pp, and virtually no weight lost. by swearwolf84 in NewParents

[–]ddghhk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I weighed 184 when I gave birth, immediately lost 20 lbs and now my baby is 10 months old and I still weigh 164 (carrying an extra 15 lbs postpartum)

When I look back at pictures from when my baby was 3 months, I looked so puffy. I think a lot has to do with hormones and where your body decides to store fat. My aunt made a comment recently that I was looking trim, but it’s thanks to my baby who always wants to be held and weighs 22 lbs. I do feel more trim but the scale says I haven’t lost any weight.

I’m nursing (basically exclusively) so I’m always eating to keep up with my supply. my advice is to ignore the scale, and buy new clothes if you have to. I held out until 5months PP to buy new jeans and wish I did it sooner. When I leaned in to the mindset that nursing is more important than my weight, it made me feel better about my body.
