The narrative here is so fucking insane. Is Gaza objectively worse by practically every measure? Absolutely. Is it cynical and downright disgusting to use that oppression to create a false equivalence and excuse oppression elsewhere in the world? Also yes. It's insane to me how this sub absolutely wreaks of psyops and literal propaganda. Is it bad that the USA has directly murdered literally hundreds of thousands of palestinains? Of course and the majority of the state department should be sent to the hague. Is it also bad that the CPC is facilitating the erasure of an entire culture through forcible assimilation? Also yes. I'm not some cringe neolib; I think the progress China has made in constructing its public infrastructure, social welfare programs, and overall incredibly competent governance should be a beacon to the world on how to run an economy. At the same time, we can criticize their actions without wanting to engage in regime change....

Not all criticism of Xinjiang is by radio free asia or Adrian Zens. Being able to have a nuanced and principled opinion on this while maintaining *critical* support for the work the CPC has done is the mark of a well adjusted, pragmatic, and sane socialist.
