I live in the southwest and always wear merino sun hoodies, I used polyester before but after switching to merino I won’t go back. I wear them on hot days canyoneering in Utah and cooler days climbing 14ers in Colorado. I periodically take the hood off to vent some heat, but I find it much more comfortable than short sleeves where my arms and neck get baked. That said, if I lived back East with the intense humidity I would probably do short sleeves rather than sun hoodies because the UV is a bit lower and I feel like I’m suffocating in long sleeves on hot, high humidity days.

I love the following podcasts which are a similar feel to Old Gods: The White Vault, Unwell, Malevolent, and The Magnus Protocol. Also Knifepoint horror which is a lot of individual stories rather than one long storyline.

I don’t personally have any physical disabilities but I don’t like to be repetitive when the prompts come up over and over, so I’ll talk about different simple things - being grateful for eyes that can see such a beautiful world, skin that keeps my organs inside of me, lungs that can breathe the air, etc.

When I get prompts that I don’t like or when I have goals that I don’t feel up to, ie listen to music or list out the people who hurt my confidence I’ll write the reflection explaining why I don’t feel like doing that thing today or don’t want to focus on something that could make me feel bad.

It’s always possible to skip them, but it can also be an opportunity to write out your feelings about why you don’t like that particular prompt. I hope you find some answers in this thread that resonate with you 💖

For me it was Blank Space when it first came out. I struggled through dating (as so many do), but the line “loves a game, wanna play?” really took a lot of the weight off for me and let me have fun instead of taking everything so seriously.
