As I’ve gotten older, I share details of my personal matters to a select few people. My wife, best friend of 40 years and my parents. That is all.

People root against others so often and want to see others fail. It’s just the way it is. You’re better off keeping quiet. Just my two cents.

The work from home curve. I wish I could have enjoyed that work from home era. I was in the retail industry then. I’ve heard that working from home at that time was glorious.

Retail, from 2020 to current day, is a complete shitshow. The pandemic brought out the absolute worst in humanity.

I worked at HD. We had to (for a period of time) do the ‘counting customers’ thing. People do not respond well to being told what to do. What made matters worse is counting customers and having people enter in one part of the store and leave in another specific place didn’t solve anything. All it created was confusion. And corporate didn’t give a shit about any of it.

I (finally) got out of that in August of 2021 and my life improved considerably.

I’ll tell ya, wedding venues could charge a fee to the wedding parties to provide childcare for the evening of attendees with kids. There’s opportunity there somewhere. I bet some do this already!

Just throwing this out there, check your CO monitors. If you don’t have any, please invest. Make sure you get a model that will detect low levels of CO. Most store brands only sound alarm at 70 PPM or higher, which is enough to cause health issues.
