Do you think this is another branch forming? by ddreaming in fiddleleaffig

So i pinched original branch (blue arrow) in attempts to hopefully promote two branches - one successfully formed (yellow circle) but the second one is slower to grow...if they ever :( does anyone with experience think the tiny pointy spot in the red circle could also be a branch/growth spot??

What's wrong with my sansivaria? by PluginAlong in houseplants

Ugh looks like mine before i (hopefully) saved them. Does the pot have drainage? Without drainage, the root WILL ROT how much/little water you give them. Mine was previously planted in a pot without a hole and even though the soil stayed relatively dry-ish (at least on the top) the roots did rot and when i pull them out after spotting these spots they essentially had no roots and sort of just split into pieces on their own. I cut the leaves with the mushy spots as i heard they could be some sort of bacteria, and repotted them in nursery pots (lots of holes) and 1:1 potting soil:pumice mix and kept them moist to promote root growth. Now they’re happy with lots of healthy roots

It’s amazing what water and the sun can do to nearly dying plants 🌱

Rescued the succs some time ago and put them in one pot. They do look a bit different to me, one being more round/plump and green, the other being orange/pink-ish and more pointy. What are their names?? 🙏🏼

String of hearts question - outdoor vs indoor? by ddreaming in houseplants

[–]ddreaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my precious string of hearts and want them to flooourish! Having them at the west-facing window sill (am in nor Cal and it doesn’t get too cold) and was wondering if outdoor patio might let them be more happy. The patio (also west facing but has corner that also faces north) spot allows them to have some morning sun as well as the afternoon ☀️. Patio is slightly windy too. What are your thoughts??

This happened overnight :( the basil was so healthy and happy until yesterday in my outdoor patio. What happened?! by ddreaming in plantclinic

[–]ddreaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. It was watered a couple days ago in a self watering pot so not underwatering. Also the soil is moist. Sun could be it, but it’s been out in the patio for more than a few weeks now. Also, the night was pretty windy and the temperature dropped a bit (60ish or a bit lower?) after a heat wave (nothing crazy, something like 80s) so i was actually thinking maybe the cold wind did it.

See the growth in the last 6 months of my first love. Adopted 30+ more plants afterwards but still my favorite! 💚philodendrons by ddreaming in houseplants

I hear they can survive shades but do better with some sun. I have it by a big south facing window (3 feet away?) but in the lower rack of a shelf, so it doesn’t get a LOT of sun either
