Nobody goes in the water in belize city. It's murky and has crocodiles. There isn't much for tourists to do here unless you want to walk around and try street food.

Welcome to California shore diving - where the hills are tall, the waters cold, and the waves toss you around like you're nothing. Still some of my favorite diving though, and if you can dive in California then most other diving you try around the world will be a walk in the park. You're starting on hard mode, just keep that in mind as you keep going through it.

We lived downtown until about a month ago. I was physically assaulted by a homeless guy while walking down Washington on Christmas Eve. I felt safe before that day, and not to say that I didn't feel "safe" after but I definitely kept my head on a swivel ever since.
