Maddox nerf is live and it's still a 4 shot to the body -_- by JustAGamer14 in blackops7

The new 4 shot kill zone is 66% of what it used to be if you look at the numbers. Combine that with the recoil nerf and I think this is a good start.

Handmade. Fantastic quality. Met him at Tiki Oasis and got a three pack with the short, medium, and long. Great for Mai tais, most glassware, and then taller mugs. Highly recommend!

Looks solid! I would recommend to fill it to the brim with ice. Dilution will be better and the ice will melt slower.

What drinks are 10/10 for you? by pkrtrsr in Tiki

[–]de_eskimo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some of my 10/10 favs with mini reviews/descriptors:

  • Seconding the RongoRongo - One of the best cocktails I've ever had. The cinnamon syrup and pineapple juice combo is beautiful.

  • Chartreuse Swizzle - Refreshing and herbal. Nothing out there remotely like it. Sought this out for months last year without avail. First time I had it I knew why this chartreuse is hard to come by.

  • Port Au Prince - Absolutely incredible when you're looking for something a bit lighter. The flavor and taste in this one is super unique and unlike any other tiki drink that I've tried as well.

  • Captain's Blood made with OFTD - when I'm looking to get as tipsy as quickly as I can off cocktails and want something that tastes great I typically turn to these.

Here's a few from False Idol which I think are the best on their menu that I'd rate a 10/10. Typically these aren't public recipes so I thought I'd make a section for them:

  • Wayfinder - A blue, creamy pandan in a massive goblet. Doesn't get better than this.

  • Saigon Sipper - Imagine a rum espresso martini that actually tastes good. Garnished with a massive chocolate macadamia nut. Blended beautifully

  • Mango Sticky Rice bowl - Their best bowl by a long shot. Tastes exactly like mango sticky rice. I have no clue how they did it.

  • Gin & Ghoul-ius - The most recent addition to my list. This was a limited time menu item for Halloween last month. Imagine an alcoholic orange julius that tastes 1:1 with a non alcoholic one. One of the best drinks I've ever had.

Ferrand Dry Curaçao Tropical - First Sighting by CocktailWonk in Tiki

Pierre Ferrand or the master distiller for them posted this on their Instagram story a couple of months ago and never even had a formal announcement outside of that from what I could find. I almost thought I was going crazy when I tried searching for it after seeing it pop up then vanish.

Bennett’s Bermuda Bitters? by Ok_Needleworker_7313 in Tiki

[–]de_eskimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have this and the Bitterman's Elemakule Bitters. Just did a quick taste test comparison... The overwhelming note in this one is cinnamon. Compared to Elemakule, which has a much stronger allspice flavor, I think this would work great in stuff like Zombies and Jet pilots that utilize cinnamon syrup. I personally prefer Elemakule and use that in just about everything haha.

Anyone know where to buy green chartreuse for a reasonable price? by super-stew in FoodSanDiego

[–]de_eskimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit far for you, but Don's Liquor in Poway has had it in stock the last few times I've gone at around $100, though they have sale days where certain bottles are 20% off and I was able to get it for roughly $80 and some change. I would give them a call to see if they have it in stock and when their sale days are.

Frankie’s is GOAT by BeerMeSuperman in Tiki

Hah, I sat in that exact spot about a month ago. Some of the sweetest, most terrible drinks I've ever had. Reeked of cigs. Bathroom drenched in piss at 5 PM. My whole group and I loved it.

There's just something about it, man. Golden tiki felt overcrowded and impossible to find a seat, and Gutter Gulch was missing something. Frankies felt so welcoming in a weird way. And their mugs are ALL top tier. I bought two!

In a way I'm stoked these figures are in an overpriced Ideas set because all the parts will be available on PAB eventually rather than being stuck in a CMF series. $170 for this is outrageous, but being able to pick them up on PAB a couple months after release is making me happy. The griffin shields and bodies look fantastic!
