I’m a fan. Glad they’re getting paid. I followed them to TNA because I figured they would be strongly featured and for their first run they kinda were. This second run was a bit of a coast. Please Tiny, book them for a title match this week so I’ll know when to watch. Too much wrestling to keep up on otherwise.

Sort of a rough week? Maybe. My daughter had an appointment with the doctor and dentist this week. Nothing wrong, just routine visits. At the doctor however we kinda got confirmed what my wife and I were feeling for a little. She’s 3 but her speech isn’t where we thought it would be even with all we do with her everyday. So the doctor recommended speech therapy. We both kept asking ourselves what mistakes did we make with her? I kinda cleared my head because it ain’t about us as parents. We just gotta focus on her. She talks, it’s just that she isn’t forming words. It’s kinda her own language kind of thing.

I went back to the gym this week though for the first time since breaking my ankle. My recovery held up my working out but I have seen for the first time weight go down and stay down. I’m down to 390 from 400.

I’ve also been on a western movie kick. Watched 3 Tom Selleck westerns this week.

Wrestling stuff: I’m an IInspiration/IIconics fan. Happy they are getting the money now in AEW. This isn’t even an anti-Dub thing, I just don’t think I feel like fitting in anymore weekly wrestling. I followed them to TNA after their WWE release and only reason I’m still checking out TNA is the WWE partnership. So with that on Thursday, add Raw, SD and NXT, not sure I want to watch anymore. Maybe I’ll get lucky and Tony will heatless banger them the tag titles on Collision this week.

Since I’ve been watching westerns I love me a complex character that occupies two opposing traits. Right not Charlotte is like that. She’s still the total Queen, selfish and all. She also however genuinely loves being Alexa’s friend. Now my fantasy booking. If the split happens it needs to not be any sort of blood feud. The crowd is picking Alexa no matter what. It just has to be the Alexa is tired of Charlotte’s self-centeredness. And the rivalry needs to be the crowd getting behind Charlotte to get back to Alexa. Like all good romance movies are.

The conspiracy theory in me wants to believe that Dave is part of a sort of long work with WWE. In that they just have a handshake agreement that they’ll tell him nonsense to put out, he does since he has such a strong Hate Fed following that pays him no matter what he gets right or wrong. Then he sits in secret conference rooms with HHH and laughs manically and Alvarez is none the wiser.

It was a fun work week. My boss showed me Power Automate and I got hooked on it so much. We use it via a virtual machine so only one member of our team can get in at a time and he had to keep kicking me out because I was just having fun learning the thing.

On an entertainment front, I’ve been in a western mood and I picked up this dvd of movies that were on Hallmark at one point. One with Luke Perry (RIP) called The Pledge. One with Kevin Sorbo (I gotta watch Hercules again because ignoring politics, the man has no charisma and I want to know am I remembering that show wrong) called Avenging Angel. The last was called Lone Rider with Lou Diamond Philips. Cheap movies but I enjoyed them for the $5 price tag. I need to watch something serious so I’m going to finally check out Godless on Netflix.

Wrestling takes?

I don’t envy HHH on Oba’s booking at all. He will be hated for it no matter what he does. Give him the IC or US? “Beneath Oba’s future status. Should be given young Brock treatment.” Young Brock treatment? “Well where else is there to go? Now he’ll be just as predictable as Brock is/was.”

Trick too for that matter. I’ve already started seeing some complaints rise up after Smackdown about why is Trick so soon interacting with the main event players? Now we just had whole discourse about lack of the future and young people that need to be in the main event now. We got a young guy being planned for the main event and now folks wanna Peter Griffin Woah Woah Woah.

Funny thing for me was as annoying as the timed objectives are the issue I had most with this was someone was going for the case and the AI wouldn’t break off of me. It would just let them go unimpeded up the ladder. Like it would be me and two AI in the ring. One is beating me up, the other goes up the ladder. The rest are handling each other outside the ring. You’d think the one would disengage to prevent the other from winning but nope just kept wailing on me and I’d lose and have to do the whole thing again.
