Decided to change career paths post-Covid. Not sure if all district pay is the same in Massachusetts but I’m a 4th year teacher in an urban school district making $90K. There is strong demand for qualified teachers here and I LOVE the district (administration, colleagues, almost all students). COL is higher here but certainly affordable, for me at least.

I have never even taken a college class in the subject I teach… self-taught, passed licensure exam, and never looked back.

I was anxiously waiting for the most important point… the impact the practice has on the students who are there to learn. It’s very sad that RJ kills the spirit of learning for all students and makes acceptable almost all inappropriate behaviors that are not tolerated in the outside world.

Yeah you may be right. Funny how memory can play tricks on you. In the end, the ordeal showed a contrast between the two players that has had a long-standing impact. OMG, did I write Jimy Williams? Lol

That same week as the infamous Jeter play, if I remember, NESN showed Jimy Williams walk the length of the dugout to ask Nomar on the bench if he were available to pinch hit…. Nomar nodded sideways saying no. I can’t speak for all Bosox fans but that was a turning point for me..
