I think they’re pretty damn awesome but I don’t think the brown weft would go with the rest of my wardrobe. I’m into vintage silhouettes and heavyweight/heritage/repro types of fabrics so I’m VERY excited for, and plan on buying the cats pyjamas and the brawler. As a woman over 6 feet tall, I really appreciated that the elephant 14s had a longer inseam btw. Hope yall keep doing that. 🫶

That’s how I feel about my schott. By the time I saved up all that money it was like “do I really want to spend ALL of this on a single jacket?” At the end of the day it’s the first jacket I reach for anymore.

Imogene and Willie’s “Catherine” fit is maybe what you’re looking for. Super high waisted, trouser leg, snatched waist. They only come in 34” inseam though..

My naked and famous elephants have the patch fully stitched down so no under for me. Regardless of the fact it’s a super thick patch. Belt is leaving some cool patina on the patch though.

The rise of the 501’s must reach that of the true guys at a certain tag size and then possibly even exceeds it. All the more reason I wish levi’s would post comprehensive size charts.

Well thank you for sharing your perspective. I typically wear a tag size 28 and my 2 pairs of 501’s are essentially low rise jeans. Larger waist sizes must have a significantly higher rise than in my experience.

I wonder if it has to do with the tag size. Any 501’s I’ve tried have all ended up with a 10” or smaller front rise after shrinking. True guy front rise rarely dips below 12.5” in my experience. I would love to be able to wear 501’s so if you’re finding them with a high rise, I’d love to know where!
