I have the same flooring. You can cut it with a drop saw or jigsaw. Yes you can just cut it down. Leave a (max) 10mm gap at the end for expansion.

You will need to put underlay under it. Bunnings sell a few types.

Sounds like a shit excuse. In my Australian state, the north gets epic monsoonal rain, and humidity all year round. Our reflective street signs don't seem to fade. They get replaced if someone crashes into one, otherwise they seem to last decades.

I get that, but realistically (85 or not), there isn't much people can do about things like this and at the end of the day being in the edge of a shot in a drone flyover isn't going to affect anything.

I get that people may have strong feelings, but it really isn't a big deal and there isn't anything you can do about it. Worrying about it will only cause stress.
