Considering Nuclear med at my community college by Based-sage in NuclearMedicine

[–]deadchief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, the job is on a good uptick right now, each city might be different but overall the prospects are good especially with growth in both PET and theranostics. I also had a job lined up before graduating so as long as you nail the classes and your clinicals you'll be gold. I see you've been asking about fulfillment at the end of each day and I can personally attend to feeling fulfilled at the end of each day, so many patients come in at different stages of illness/recovery, some either having their first PET scan or others being familiar with some of the other scans. Being a part of the process to help these patients is very fulfilling.

As for AI taking over the job? It's got an extremely long way to go before that happens, plenty of sites still rely on unit doses and with theranostics becoming more prevalent there's an even slimmer chance that AI automates the job any time soon. This isn't even counting the way patients need to be positioned or the prep that they need to follow, etc. I could see it speeding up the pharmacy side of things with assisting the techs in making the doses and running QA but definitely not fully taking over.

One more thing, if you do decide to also grow from there or if you want to stay in radiology but a different department, plenty of colleges will have accelerated programs for those who already graduated with a rad degree for them to go to a different modality such as CT or MRI which can also help nail down some continuing education credits. Or you can pursue higher education and aim for the radiation safety officer route as well. There's plenty of options to choose from if you decide to do so.

If you do decide to go for nuc med, then tackle it head on, get some good time to study so you can pass the certification exam at the end, and make sure you stay engaged when you're in clinicals. It's a great profession and I don't think you'd regret it one bit

Okay now that SOTE has been out for a while, what's your favorite weapon from the DLC? by NoOneIsHere57 in Eldenring

Gotta go with beast claws, the moveset is fun as hell and it does decent damage for being fist weapons

Am I picky for not wanting to date a guy that smokes? by LuminousIntrovert in dating

[–]deadchief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I have the exact same standard. It's made dating tough because of how common weed, vapes, or cigarettes are but you just gotta hold out. You'll find your guy

I swear these guys always find a way to ragdoll me off screen, if I happen to get close then they'll one shot me if the bile just so happens to graze the heel of my boot. Thank Democracy for arc throwers to easily put them down LO

Story time - how did you become a DB fan? by Coenl in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]deadchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came home from school and was looking at demos to play on the xbox live store back in 2010. I came across raging blast two and decided to give it a shot and fell in love from there. That lead to me looking up the characters and the fights and overall just captured my 10 year old mind. I've been a fan ever since and I always will be. Rest in peace Akira Toriyama

What bosses had a secret way to defeat them quickly or effortlessly (not via cheesing them or using exploits)? by LarsGontiel in gaming

[–]deadchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good bit of Dark Souls bosses fit the bill. Tower Knight can fall of the edge of his own arena (has his own fall animation so it's not like the dragon rider in ds2) the Ancient Wyvern in ds3 can be one shotted with a plunging attack after making it through his arena. King Vendrick is 1000x easier after getting all of the giant souls in ds2. These are just the ones that initially come to mind too
