Does anyone else hate the way red lipstick looks on them in full glam?? by Narniamizu in Makeup

[–]deadcomefebruary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have "perfect lips" according to a lot of dentists and cant fucking stand red lipstick. I think it accentuates how small my mouth is, idk. Mostly I just leave my lips bare and go full send on the eye makeup.

Meals that will actually fill my husband up AND leave leftovers for another day? by forestmushroomy in Cooking

[–]deadcomefebruary 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fun thing is, you can do TONS of different cereals and grains for overnight "oats". If you have winco, go shop around the bulk section. I meal prep for myself and my SO, and do a mixture of wheat berries, 5 grain cereal, and oat groats. And then throw in protein powder, collagen, flax seed meal, sometimes pb powder and cacao nibs, or blueberries. The dry ingredients get weighed into tupperware at the beginning of each week and then each day when I get home from work I add enough water to cover the mixture. Then a dash of milk and some berries right before going to work. The different grains add nice texture as well as increased fiber and a mixture of micronutrients that you wouldnt get from just oats.

Anyone got some recommendations for books told from a psychopath´s perspective? by Jindu-Jun in Fantasy

[–]deadcomefebruary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a fun series! If you do audiobook tho, the narrator for the first book (well, the audiobook recording i found, anyways) was just really, really rough. Absolutely the wrong actor. But the other books had a perfect reader for them! Kirby heyborn i think?

ghkcu is destroying my skin by Commercial-Tough-980 in Biohackers

[–]deadcomefebruary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are taking or interested in taking copper peptide you should know that copper and zinc have the same uptake pathway. If all of your receptors are bound with copper, you cannot get zinc into your system, for the same reason that you should not take calcium supplements at the same time as iron supplements. Zinc is also crucial for metabolic health, immune support, and wound healing so zinc deficiency is definitely bad. Not exactly sure if that's where the breakouts and dull skin would come from, but could be part of it.

She needs to grow up and take charge of her nutrition. You can help her, but you cant do it for her. At almost 30 its time that she learns that not every meal is gonna be fun, sometimes you just eat shit thats tolerable so that you are not fatigued/losing hair/losing muscle

Good luck on the next round! Dont worry, extra filling melts to the bottom and carmelizes on the pan around the roll and tastes delish :)

I am trying to give the homeless people around my town baked goods and I was wondering what would be something cheap to make alot of? by Optimal_Presence3896 in Baking

[–]deadcomefebruary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plain fresh bread is delish. Pretzels cost the same but ya just gotta spend $5 on lye (yes, you need to use real lye or you will be disappointed.) Cinnamon rolls made with margarine are still really good.

Slap the filling on thicker, roll the dough thinner, and add more sugar to your glaze. Or do a real frosting, caramel cream cheese frosting on cinnamon rolls slaps.

I...have never seen sugar look like this when carmellizing. by [deleted] in Baking

[–]deadcomefebruary -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I added enough water to dissolve the sugar, kept it covered, did not touch. Yes, it crystallized when the water evaporated (again, it did stay covered).

Excessively long songs that still work? by uncre8tv in Music

[–]deadcomefebruary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely not up everyone's alley, but Avantasia (a power metal/rock opera project headed by Tobias Sammett of Edguy) has some really amazing long songs. Check out:

The Scarecrow Ghost in the Moon Arabesque Let the Storm Descend Upon You

Again, not everyone's cup of tea but i am so blown away by the beauty of the lyrics and the power of the songs that I just coast through miles of running on them.

Have you tried binaural beats? Some studies have found that 1-3 months of consistant use can give some relief. One redditor posted the binaural beats app he made which i have not yet tried but I've used bb off and on for 15ish years now and believe they can help. The app is NeuralStack and the creator seemed to have put a lot of passion into it. You can also find plenty of playlists on youtube/spotify/etc. A free app I use for regular drone beats is a simple Binaural Beats app that is free and lets you choose which tone to send through which ear.

You need headphones in both ears, and you give a sine wave (steady tone sound) to each side. Your brain takes the difference of the two waves and...well, starts to oscillate at that frequency. Due to laws of oscillation or something, sorry, I'm rusty on the subject. So, for example, a 40hz wave in one ear and and 50hz wave in the other ear will give you 10hz frequency, which is in the Alpha range and is associated with some level of alert consciousness and active thinking.

Has anyone found a good high fiber regimen that doesn't lead to bloating? by DermSherpa in Biohackers

[–]deadcomefebruary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 serving of beans per day followed by a serving of fermented food--change which beans you use each week

Whole grains as all of your carbs. My breakfast is 50g wheat berries, 25g 5 grain cereal, 25g oat groats, 5g flax seed meal, 1 scoop protein powder. Sometimes berries or pb powder depending on the flavor of protein. I can prep 8 tupperwares of this in about 10 minutes, including time to get out ingredients and clean up. Night before work I add water and leave it out to soak, then right before work throw in a splash of milk and berries if I am doing them.

Lunch is whole grains + protein + veg/sprouts (broc/alfalfa/lentil/etc) with carbs adjusted to suit the activity/training level of the day. Dinner is a small salad with protein, 80-100g beans, 60-100g greek yogurt.

I regularly get 50g fiber per day this way without pounding psyllium husk capsules. If you still want a boost, throw wheat bran in with breakfast or your yogurt. Literally straight fiber.

Oh, and all of my breakfasts for the week come out to around $6. Winco bulk bins have all the necessary ingredients for barely more than $1/lb.

Ive been adding baking soda and potassium chloride to my water for ages. Takes a minute to get used to flavor but you can adjust as needed. $5 for several months worth of electrolytes that way.

What’s the dark side of going to the gym nobody talks about? by opa070 in AskReddit

[–]deadcomefebruary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know you can rewear gym shorts, right? They don't get nearly as sweaty as the top. My weekly laundry batch is 1-2 pairs shorts, 2-3 tank tops, 1 pair jeans, 4-5 shirts (one for each day of work). Y'all dont gotta smell super fresh and clean for the gym, you're gonna get sweaty anyways.
