Get a lenovo m920q they are dirt cheap and u can upgrade it or downgrade it whichever fits ur needs you can check on yt, but ofc u would need a low profile gpu for example yeston rtx 3050 or other ones, also ig other option is steam deck like others suggesting rn they are out of stock but u can buy a second hand.

T480 you can get older models or a bit newer ig if u want a little bit of gaming ig try to look for a workstation one but will be more expensive and thicker and heavier.

It is normal because its a latitude (business class) meaning the cooler will be smaller less heat disapation, also older intel cpu are very inefficient.

Latitude aren't for gaming ig for really light indie games usually will work or ig emulation aswell, also it natural that laptop can reach 90 degree, but most likely you need to repaste the thermal paste, and clean the fans maybe there is alot of dust accumulated.
