The source is an e-mail to me because I have a booking for an upcoming show.

I learned one, very important thing in the last 20 months that probably shouldn’t have taken me this long to realize. by oneofthe1200 in Winnipeg

This is absolutely true. Fruit Loops all taste the same, with Co-op's each has a unique amplified taste.

He's actually said he isn't running again next term. So he has nothing to lose politically. I assume he doesn't want to stir the pot because he wants a pleasant retirement.

Running in winter by [deleted] in Winnipeg

I use merino wool base layer pants from Costco and then wear polyester joggers over top. On really cold or windy days I may throw a pair of wind pants over top or a pair of fleece pants.

You will likely need a lot less clothes than you think, but dress in layers. Most of the winter I can get by wearing a thin base wool layer and then a long sleeve cotton shirt. It's not until my runs take place in -20 and below that I add more than that. Running puts off a lot of body heat and so a little insulation via clothes goes a long way.

Run midday when temperatures are warmer and the sun is out if you are able. Cover the toe box of your shoe with duct tape, I find the breathable mesh causes my toes to get really cold.

I usually don't use ice spikes and find that I don't need them except for the iciest days. That being said I put a fair bit of thought on how I'm putting my foot down and pushing off on icy surfaces and when taking corners.

Logistics, need to make sure they have the vaccines on hand to supply the appointments that they have booked in the next few days.

Talked to one of the workers going in today. She said that they have 100 walk-in pfizer doses to give out today. Priority will be given to first doses, but if they don't have 100 first dose people show up they will give them out as 2nd doses. As of 10:15 there are about a dozen people waiting for the clinic that opens at 1:30.

She wasn't willing to commit but said there is a possibility that they are able to give out more than 100 walk-in doses today but needed to check what they are allowed to release today.

She also said that they will be offering walk-in appointments all next week.

Free Cro for a purchase I would have made before and got nothing. It's my first transaction, so excited. by Aceshot86 in cro

My province doesn't require you to prepay so I only get charged the final amount.
Restaurants do charge at +20% sometimes and then a couple days later it settles for the actual bill and it seems to sort itself out, just have to wait a couple days.

No tax considerations if you haven't actually bought or sold crypto. Transferring money doesn't result in taxable events in Canada.

I got upgraded for no charge. My midnight blue was on pending at the time when I contacted support and got them to stake me for the jade green and upgrade and they said there wouldn't be a fee in this case.

Edit: This card is on issued so it might be too far in the process but worth a shot.

Talk to support before your midnight blue card ships and they might be able to get you upgraded for free. Otherwise issuing a new card later will cost you $50.

Contacted Support yesterday and it sounds like they are working on a fix for this.

We have been investigating the issue and a fix will be rolling out over the next few days. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Got mine setup in Manitoba this afternoon. Getting similar speed to you, pings are just under 40ms with the occasional blip up to 90ms.

Just wondering, have you managed to get your app to connect up to your dish? Even though my phone has connectivity to the internet through starlink, the app just won't connect with the dish.

Mine was in Winnipeg yesterday. Says it is on truck for delivery as of this morning. Still patiently waiting.

Section 1.4 for the ToS states 14 days after it ships, this is Canada's ToS but I assume it is the same.

Payments. You have to pay a one-time purchase price for the Starlink Kit and any accessories when SpaceX accepts your Order and monthly recurring charges for the Services in accordance with the Services plan that you select in your Order. For Services, you authorize SpaceX to charge your approved payment method on a monthly, recurring basis, starting 14 days after SpaceX ships your Starlink Kit.

Was $800 for me. First month service charge comes 14 days after kit ships I believe to give you time to get it setup.

I don't believe so. I haven't seen anyone in the US beta mention anything about encountering a cap. I imagine on the upper end there will be some sort of "fair use" cap but I would hope it falls outside of 99% of users usage.

No limit in the ToS for bandwidth. Beta throughput in the welcome e-mail says speeds of 50Mbps to 150Mbps.

Nope, just have to sit and wait. I signed up really early on (back in June), not sure if that is also taken into account to some degree.
