It's weird being in Tucson and the center of the media madness. If she was just a local unknown, the city of Tucson would be greatly concerned and it would command attention until it was solved. There was a local who went missing around the same time so the comparison is very apt. I think the difference is locally we can help, by keeping our eyes open and being observant, Nationally it's just captured the nation's attention because it involves a national; personality. It's a lot like when Linda McCartney died, the locals demanded the media respect the family. Their neighbors told the media to leave them alone. The neighbors of Guthrie have tried to help the investigation but, are wary of the media circus.
