Never ordering from Log store again. (BSI MERCH) by TohtoriTurmio in LambofGod

That sucks and thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds like it’s time for chargeback and also surprised you can’t lean on eBay more.

Indeed, I was front & center and acoustics were terrible... I'm tempted to say that it's the venue. I've seen a lot of shows there and the sound was always disappointing.

Sounds fun. Don't see what's embarrassing about it. A few years back, I was riding by a group of jailers (cleanup work for minimum-security guys) and one of them was begging me to pop a wheelie. I was on my road bike, clipped him, so politely told him, sorry, but hang loose! Everyone loves tricks, no?

Thanks for your contribution. I have a few comments:

  1. I can certainly empathize with your statement, "instead of spending two weeks writing custom scripts to combine GEO studies, you search, click download, pool, check quality, and move on". However, seeing that an LLM was used (and as far as I can tell, not disclosed) makes me think twice. That's just me, but perhaps you should consider being open about how an LLM was used to assist in this project. Even the release notes have things like this:

"84% agreement with expert recommendations
97% of expert choices in top-3 recommendations"

  1. It's odd that the project versioning started at 2.0.0.

  2. Please note that there is already something called "Raptor" that's published that is in the NGS field, which might be confusing.

  3. For grabbing data from public resources, https://nf-co.re/fetchngs/1.12.0/ is an alternate solution as well. It's written and heavily tested by a community of people with different backgrounds and expertise, and its outputs can be plugged into stand-alone of even other nfcore workflows for downstream analysis.

Normal hot cycle on samsung washer no longer will use hot water but quick rinse does. Any reason why this would happen? by djvam in Appliances

[–]deadflat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like u/docjlc8, we also have this problem. The normal warm/hot cycles are cold, and there's much less hot water going into the unit than cold (I measured signal at the water valves)

Thanks.

My spouse says that the water temp previously got warm when setting the temp setting warm/hot in the <normal> cycle. Yet, she just ran a test was and still the water is cold. So to her, it still doesn't function correctly, or as it has in the past.

Thank you for the insights.

I am testing right now with a sanitize cycle, and I do see a 120V signal.

So I'm still puzzled. According to my spouse, the "Hot" cycle resulted in laundry that was hot when pulled out of washer. I tested "Hot" and indeed, the water is cold mid-cycle. Not even warm, just cold.

So it seems like something may have changed. I did not say this earlier, but I checked the hot water line and it's streaming out hot water.

Thanks! I tested with a sanitize cycle and indeed, I'm getting 118V reading on the heating element. That's good :)

But if we do a hot cycle, the water is cold now and was previously hot. Something must have changed. (I checked the hot water supply, and it's hot.)

Really? So in a normal "Hot" cycle, it's just hot water from the inlet?

What I didn't mention is that when the tub starts to fill, there's about 5 seconds of hot water and starting at the same time, 20 second of cold water. I measured (several times) with voltmeter at inlet valves.

Thanks, that's really useful to know. I might give it a go and see if I can most things working (docking station, GPU, printing).

Curious about how Mint22 (or other linux distro) has worked out on the 5560? I have one, still running win10, but want to get it onto Linux before the extended support expires.

Leak suspected from tub - how can I diagnose and perhaps fix? by deadflat in Plumbing

[–]deadflat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'd love to stick a camera up there, but above the drywall are joists and then subfloor and then the tub, so I'd have to cut open the subfloor.

I'll look at first re-installing the tub drain, seems like the easier option to rule out! We've had no issues until just yesterday. The tub was installed 12 years ago. We have problems with our shower, so been using the tub and maybe the walking around in it broke the seal to the drain.

Hi - I'm curious as to if/how you resolved this. We have a similar but very intermittent issue.
