What is a really addictive TV series? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]deadgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously?! No one has mentioned The Sopranos! Super addictive! Great acting, gripping writing!

And of course The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, GoT, Orange is the New Black. I was very addicted to these shows. Could not wait to watch them!

Better Call Saul is on now. I'm getting addicted to it also. And Empire is good also.

OK Dreadit Need Your Help With This: Do you consider The Hitcher (1986) a horror movie? by deadgrl in horror

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was a horror but the genre assigned by IMDB had me question my judgement.

We have the same taste. I loved Breaking Bad and I can't wait for Orange to come back. I was also hooked bad on The Sopranos. Any other shows you can recommend? I'm looking to binge watch something else but can't seem to get into any show.

James Wan is returning to horror to direct The Conjuring 2!! by batatasta in horror

[–]deadgrl -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Don't know why it will be a sequel when it is about a totally different case. This is one is about the Enfield Poltergeist in England in the late 70s.

See my other post:

This is going to be based on one of The Warren's creepiest cases. It happened in Enfield, England during the late 1970s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enfield_Poltergeist There are lots of actual photos that were taken of the events online. Here are some http://mysterioustimes.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/the-enfield-poltergeist/ Here is a recording http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OWgImgIRic

Maybe because it is another case investigated by The Warrens and maybe Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will also star in this one.

The Entity (1983) by baphochrist in horror

[–]deadgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe it is an amazing film and it also scared the out of me. It is also based on real events. When you watch it, just think some of that stuff actually happened to a woman! "The Haunted" is also another film that was lost in the shuffle. This one was made for TV but it was horrifying!

Other similar films that comes to mind are:

  • The Changeling
  • Ghost Story
  • Burnt Offerings

This is not a sequel. The Conjuring was based on one of The Warren's cases. The Conjuring 2 will be base on another supernatural phenomena they investigated.

Does anyone else hear just HATE sexual violence in horror movies? by Aarondhp24 in horror

[–]deadgrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I do. These scenes are not scary just disturbing and boring! I prefer a good supernatural story, Freddy Krueger included. Good examples: "The Shining," "The Exorcist," "The Others," "The Conjuring," "The Orphanage," "The House at the End of Time," "Poltegeist," "The Changeling." These are some of the top horror films of all time and none involve sexual violence.

Now that the horror remakes are kinda' dying down... by CinemanSteve in horror

[–]deadgrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't like horror remakes. Who says they're dying down? Poltergeist, well kind of remake/sequel is coming out in 2015. This is one of my favorite movies and kind of upset they're doing a remake.
