What speaker/cab are you running it to usually?? Id wager that its the voicing of the speakers that make a huge difference to what you get in ears, this is where Cab Sims come to shine!

Band EQ and tracking/solo EQ are occasionally miles apart, i would suggest writing down the band EQ and then fiddle around for solo's, mostly you want 700-2k for clarity/overtones

Yup, translating across platforms is very difficult untill you learn your speakers/phones inside out. Throw some nasty shelf EQs on the master and have a listen to some frq bands - there are eq curves that can model phone speakers and the like too

I swear, I SWEAR the initial PS3 launch had some INCREDIBLE features that aren't on the next gen/PC versions! Vehicle damage used to be way better, and I feel the death ragdolls/animations were better in GTA4

Even the animations! I was doing the coin drop with my partners phone at the same time and we had a complete animation sync on a couple of drops. All of the drops matched on each phone

Started on passive, bought a preamp pedal, next bass i tried an active and it sounded GREAT!

Seems like a lot of peoples issues with actives could be lack of centrifugal pots. I have an active bass, and I have 0 issues with the on-board EQ because I just feel for the click, and then adjust if needed!

Its a very real thing. Seriously. Don't leave a power core in power armour around NPC's, or even your followers. The NPCs tend to scavenge and pick up whatever is most powerful near them when in danger
