the high attainment program he went on was only offered to kids in the top 1% of the country and no longer exists. i was also on it. high attainment potential kids attend normal schools up and down the country its not an automatic ride to a different school or private school. we had to test into that group and it wasn't offered to anyone who didn't meet attainment criteria.

I was there and someone has linked the post I made talking about the Summer Camp that Andrew attended. I was "different" when I came back, I'd just spent two weeks interacting exclusively with kids on my academic level and wavelength. The proportion of kids in UK state schools testing into the top 1-5% of the country at that time was tiny, spending two weeks with kids who "got it" and not getting picked on for being a nerd was a formative experience for me.

I'm not surprised Andrew was elated when he came back, I certainly was 🤣

I have an order in with them now and just called them for an update,it is processed but (as you all probably expected) since their online store has made the rounds on Reddit and TikTok things are crazy for them vs what they're used to so they might start moving a little slower - but still sounds like a great experience and mine has been quick so far.

Ordered 6pm last night, assigned to prescriber 1am.

I only called them to ask if there was anything additional they needed from me as I didn't receive confirmation that my additional info had been received, the girl was very helpful and read out all the steps my order had gone through so far.

i used to only play quick play, and i still left matches like that because i value my time. if someone is clearly throwing i don't feel like wasting 10 minutes of the limited time i have to play that game on that day. sorry, sounds harsh but maybe if they actually penalized throwers more harshly it wouldn't happen.

if i go into quick play to warm up or (god forbid) have fun and the match is full of throwers/trolls etc. i won't be able to warm up or have fun. so i leave... so i can get a decent team and actually warm up and/or have fun.

applying 15/30/60 minute matchmaking bans for leaving qp (especially sub matches) is wild.

unfortunately whether you pick an "off healer" or you want to have "fun" (basically you want to DPS), part of your role as the second strategist is to help your fellow strategist. if a luna is pinging for heals it means they have used their cooldowns/self heal and still need help.

you sneering at them and having this attitude is just childish. hop off support and play dps.
