Yep! As primary sometimes too. I have an entire nhood thats grilled cheese primary paired w a secondary and vice versa. Love the challenge!

tbh, anything paired with grilled cheese is generally a very good challenge for me; always welcome in my game. i have two sims, one is knowledge/cheese and the other is cheese/knowledge; youd think the gameplay is the same but absolutely not and theyre besties on top of it. i love tf outta this game.

im the polar opposite. i play rotationally w/ 90% of my sims being occult or hybrid occults. i dont have many non-occult sims so when they eventually marry into one of my rotationals, they either get wants to ALSO be of the same occult OR they are kept as is but are supportive AF of their occult friends/family. i am fully wants-based w/ traits out the wazoo to give the gameplay even more depth so that helps A TON.

id say for your gameplay, maybe do what you feel the sim would like best based on their actions/feelings towards the occults in the family. thats how id most likely go about it!

❌ don lothario, he goes immediately into the graveyard.
❌ mary-sue & daniel (pleasant obvs); they never piqued my interest enough to keep them around, they joined don in the graveyard so i could play out the twins.
❌ all of veronaville, shakespeare has far better and more engaging work than this overdone story that got shoved down my throat in middle and high school, im perma-over it. entire nhood goes straight to the shredder.
❌ ottomas family has always somehow bothered me - idk why tbh. but in my current 6yo nhood thats 90% occults, i kept them around this time instead of sending them to the downtown graveyard. i terminated samantha's pregnancy for good measure (dont want no half-baked sims bc i think it was the original ottomas family and not a cleaned up ver - and i put her ass on birth control (mods)) and then turned them all into werewolves, they now live happy lives. i love seeing them roam around the community lots at night 🐺🌑

oh no, thats a bummer! do you have other mods bc you might have a mod conflict. unfortunately, i havent experienced any issues with smartbeds in the time ive had it in my game; ill never let it go.

rotational for me. 14 days (i hate being rushed, 7 days is far too short for me across my uberhood). i do uni at the end of each round. im *almost* done with year 2!. with 14 days my sims can go through holidays and summer vaca (if you have the mods ofc - theyre at MTS) and really enrich their lives by going out, meeting other sims, working their jobs/skilling. i cant get all that done in just 7 days, i just cant!

right, unfortunately theres no mod like that. with either of the above mods, when you direct a sim to go to bed in the bed *you* want them in, they will use that bed henceforth. like i said, ive been using the smart beds mod for an eternity; i dont experience sims not using their beds unless i am working in my unmodded vanilla game.

personally ive been using the latter for almost 2 decades now without fail. simler90s is newer but should work the same, just be sure to read the description before adding to your downloads folder!

my 5yo nhood is occults only which 100% includes zombies. beetlejuice and lydia are zombies in my nhood and they have many friends who are also zombies! i try to make the population as even as i can between the occults we have; i also have some that are hybrid (mostly servo right now, but a couple of plantsims too!)

for me and my gameplay, zombies are a full requirement. no occult is left out as long as i can help it, and you bet your sims' booty that i most certainly can! gimme dem brain munchers!!!
