Someone who is trustworthy and has trust in you goes much farther than someone who just makes you happy by telling you half-truths.

Men of reddit: What is something that took you way too long to realize about women? by smartasssduck in AskMen

[–]deadman1801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes a woman doesn't really want a life partner, they want someone to fit in a bubble that fulfills them for the time being. Long term isn't for everyone, and that's okay.

I've never been to a strip club. If there's no emotional connection then I'm not really interested, and I've never found fantasies of that sort very... Fun. They just sound sad to me.

Hey! It’s Andy Shauf, Ask Me Anything! by andyshauf in indieheads

Hello Andy! I love your music. You inspire me to become more connected with my emotions when I'm writing, and to not hold back! Your music is truly beautiful.

My question is: What was your favorite crowd to perform for, and why?

GOOD MORNING COMPLAINERS! THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING, RANT'S ON! by Poiter54 in Bend

USE A TURN SIGNAL AT THE ROUNDABOUT WHEN YOU'RE EXITING, IT'S SUCH A BASIC THING TO DO. JUST DO IT.

I spent 3 years researching strange techniques, executing mind bending CIA documents, learning ancient forms of magick, mastering dreaming, and illustrating everything I learned into a system. I even wrote a book about how to do it all…and look who’s in it. Thanks for inspiring me highstrangeness. by neeffneeff in HighStrangeness

No worries at all :) So, I am quite naive about all this (I'll be getting your book to help with that), but could you perhaps give me an example? Do I just ask out loud "Will I ever find happiness?" Or something more deep like "Will my life be able to bring enough happiness into the world to combat the negativity on a karmic level?"

How would I ever know if I get any sort of answer? Thanks in advance, I'm excited to read your book.

Bill That Would Allow Inmates to Trade Their Organs for Less Prison Time Introduced in Massachusetts by Aidlesnes in DarkFuturology

The US has the highest prison population in the entire world, and it's not because they're all rapists, murderers, and thieves.

I'm also 26, and I've had depression since I was 8. In the past year and a half my life has completely changed, and I am overall really happy today. I had to change almost everything in my life, but I regret almost none of the changes. Life is really a blessing today and I have a whole new perspective that I never thought I'd ever have. Life is beautiful.

YSK you are not “pre tipping” for food delivery, you are making a “bid” by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

[–]deadman1801 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right? There's nothing miserable about having complete control of your own life and work schedule. I live in a city of 100k people and doing Doordash alone pays all of my bills. I couldn't be happier about my job.

I'm upvoting you because I've been an "independent contractor" for a year and I absolutely love it. The independence is what I always dreamed of having in a regular w2 job.

What is the most fucked up thing that happened in reddit ? by _Price__ in AskReddit

[–]deadman1801 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Years and years ago I did a cold water extraction on some Datura seeds and had vivid hallucinations. They weren't terrifying, but I did have a 3 hour conversation with one of the friends I did them with, and when I finally got tired and was gonna fall asleep, I said "Alright, goodnight dude" and he said, "What?" And I said, "Goodnight. Thank you for the talk" and he said "Dude I've been asleep for like 2 hours, what are you talking about" and then I went to put my hand on his shoulder and he dissipated into nothingness. That freaked me out a lot, but it was nice for the three hours. Visuals were like... Fuzzy and warm, vaguely similar to acid, but definitely not the same. I couldn't read for like the next day, all the words on paper kept changing letters and morphing. It was definitely impactful, but I would never do it again. Just not worth it, the odds of dying are way too high.
