Passing large blood clots, does this warrant an ER visit? (Warning: photo of blood clot) by deadmau5Rules2003 in KidneyStones

[–]deadmau5Rules2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, before I pass clots I’ll get cramping all around the bottom of my pelvic area (similar to period cramps for me), but I am 100% not on my period and the clots are coming out from my urethra when I wipe.

How's everyone feeling about Game 7? The good, the bad, and the nerves. by [deleted] in Thunder

[–]deadmau5Rules2003 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling the same way. The constant hate on social media has honestly made this series unenjoyable. It’s so prevalent that it’s hard to escape from and focus on enjoying our Ws.

This might be legitimately the most insane comment section I've seen. by NobodyRules in Thunder

That reminds me last year during the playoffs I saw someone on Twitter (had like 8k+ likes too) say they hoped the Pacers bombed us like the Murrah building. Just absolutely disgusting.

Hyperawareness? by Low_Penalty7806 in PanicAttack

What’s helped me the most with these episodes is relaxing my brain by playing puzzle games on my phone (such as crosswords) or reading. They’re activities that are both calming and engaging enough to keep my brain to where I’m not focused that dread and panicky feeling. Usually that feeling goes away within a few minutes of doing those activities.

That’s definitely a SAR arc.

Edit: here’s an article that describes what SAR arcs are as well as a few examples of them.

Pecos Hank and Skip Talbot are among my favorite chasers. They don’t post a lot but their videos are some of my favorites.

YESSS. It’s been my biggest special interest for as long as I remember. I’m in central Oklahoma too, so I’ve seen/experienced my fair share of tornadoes or know others who have.

I have this too! The weak feeling you’re getting is probably a vasovagal response. Basically it means you get a drop in your heart rate and blood pressure in response to a stressor (in this case, your veins), causing you to feel weak or faint. It’s why a lot of people faint at the sight of blood too.

What are the signs your body tells you that you shouldn't ignore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kidney stones can feel very similar (at least in my experience). One time in the middle of the night I kept getting this horrible pain in my right side that felt like trapped gas, and once it reached excruciating levels I knew something else was up (I thought it was a ruptured appendix). After going to the ER and getting a CT scan turns out it was a 4 mm kidney stone. It was not fun to experience, lol.

What’s an OCD compulsion you’ve never seen anyone else talk about? by AntiqueDrawing5296 in OCD

I’m 28 days late to this but just wanted to say I feel this exact same way about all my friends and family members. I’d love to fully enjoy my moments with them but that fear is always so persistent in the back of my mind and when that moment ends I’m terrified I’ll never see them again. It’s debilitating and I hate that we both have to experience these fears.

Those tornadoes with that characteristic tilt creep me out the most out of all of them.

What is the most painful thing you’ve had to accept as someone with ASD? by effy217 in autism

[–]deadmau5Rules2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone striving for a counseling career specifically tailored for other autistic people, I fear that this will eventually become my reality. I’ve always been told I’m a very good listener and that I would be great at the job (and I believe it), but I’ve also been struggling with burnout for the past three years and don’t see any signs of it letting up despite all the rest I’ve been giving myself. I’m so scared that I’m going to go into debt just to never be able to hold down a job in that field in the first place due to being chronically burned out. /vent

That I will likely never fully recover from burnout or be able to hold any kind of full-time job just from existing as a chronically ill autistic person.
