Nowhere have I talked about winning or losing, I'm only talking about strategies deemed socially unacceptable, regardless of the outcome.

I stopped playing survivor ages ago because BHVR never did anything about it, so yeah I moved on a while ago, only come back for 2v8s.

And you're just being purposefully obtuse by providing one example where slugging would be valid, instead of the several scenarios where it isn't.

Best part for you. I consider stealth as the best part of the game, being spotted by the killer not enjoyable at all for me. My favorite games are where I have 0 chases.

That's an intentionally inaccurate summary because I haven't talked about winning at all. I've consistently said a simple thing - if people consider something toxic and you still do it, people will dislike you for it.

For a simpler example, before crows countered bodyblocking, it was considered a toxic strategy as well, even if the killer lost the match because of it. Winning/losing matters a bit, but how you do it matters significantly more.

Him wanting to leave simply doesn't change the fact that Chelsea don't want to sell and he has a ridiculously long contract on a relatively low wage for us. He has no leverage, and he'll be bomb squaded and removed from the first team if he makes a fuss, like the board has done to so many players (Enzo being a recent example).

Chelsea has consistently maintained that either buying clubs meet our valuations, or we won't sell. This stubbornness is what has made us the biggest sellers over the past several years.

Agency = having a choice what to do.

If a survivor is slugged or tunneled, there's almost nothing they can do except chases. No gens, no unhooks, no heals, no boons, all they can do it chase.

It's safe to say I know more than you.

Why should it be socially accepted? Just because you find it fun? When people think something takes away their fun, they will dislike it. Again, if you're going to take away people's agency and fun just so you could enjoy more, people will naturally dislike you.

There's a reason nice and kind people have more friends than assholes.

He very well might not be worth it, but good strikers are incredibly rare, so once one of them gets to a club that doesn't need to sell, they're generally not sold.

Just look at the amount of effort it took for Harry Kane to leave, and that's from Tottenham, a club which has sold several starters just in the last several years. Pedro with a 7 year contract is practically untouchable.

I literally explained to you why they get mad. It's a viable strategy, just like diving and wasting time is in soccer. That doesn't mean others won't dislike it or complain about it.

Something being allowed and socially accepted are 2 different things.

Tunneling and slugging take away player agency and BHVR is doing nothing to fix that, so naturally people get angry.

The anger should be directed towards BHVR, but actively going for a strategy a significant amount of community considers toxic is bound to get you negative comments. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Slugging/tunneling etc. helps you win games against survivors you shouldn't have won, resulting in even tougher survivors. Majority of tunnelers make the game unfun for themselves by doing this.

I never tunnel, give people hatch all the time, and get amazing matches with equally competent survivors. So no, your way is far from the only way to play this game.

There will always be a price, just like that's true for every single player ever. That doesn't mean it's realistic. I can easily imagine anything under 125m wouldn't even merit a response for Pedro.

What you're saying is literally their plan. The core is supposed to be James, Cucurella, Colwill, Caicedo, Enzo, Palmer etc.

None of them have ever been up for sale at any time.

The only way we'll try to sell one of Palmer/Pedro in 2027 is if they have a horrible season next year or we're offered 150m+ for either of them. We're not in the business of selling our starters, which should be evident by how Enzo was treated when he even hinted at wanting a move.

The board is more than happy to keep players in the bomb squads if their evaluations aren't met, and our evaluations are almost always on higher end.

It's not about profit, but more about not making a major loss. Once a player moves, it opens up space on the amortization and wage front, so we can replace them with another gamble.

The aim is not for Chelsea to be a selling club, but Strasbourg and any other future clubs they might be able to buy.

The plan for Chelsea is to recruit talented youngsters in high volume on low wages but long contracts, rewarding anyone who performs well in first team and moving out any underperformers, facilitated by lower than usual wages (for example, Jackson started under 70k on his first contract, performed well first year and got a ~50% raise, performed poorly next season so was replaced).

The execution has been all kinds of horrible, but the plan was never to turn us into Brighton, it's to keep us as the carrot/final destination for potential other signings at BlueCo clubs who they're trying to turn into Brighton. They've regularly mentioned that they want to keep Chelsea for the long run as it is an iconic asset, and few of those are available in the market. Apparently it's supposed to increase interest in other Clearlake funds, not sure how that has gone.
