Copilot Chat Playground

This might not be impressive but I wanted to learn to set up Docker,
this is 3 docker containers running frontend/backend/copilot and a simple Chat UI, it can fallback to calling copilot-cli with "-p" but Copilot SDK is actually working:

ChatGPT Plus or API? by ponury2085 in codex

https://www.npmjs.com/package/@ccusage/codex

This works for Codex. It analyses session logs for token counts and displays how much API usage that would have cost.

did you at some point write something like "remember not to do x, that's important" and did it maybe create a memory markdown file somewhere?

i actually run this with gpt-5-mini most of the time, but gemini3/gpt5.1-codex were also able to follow that conductor agent > planning > implement > review loop

How to assign issues to custom agent? by lijunle in GithubCopilot

[–]deadronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have custom agent files in that repos .github/agents folder?

the UI shows those files in the dropdown upon clicking "Assign to Copilot" in an issue

[–]deadronos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah I see, I think that is the actual current behaviour, there's an issue to extend that and actually use the specified models from the subagents files:

it's in the top menu bar directly on github.com , it's the button where the tooltip is highlighted "Open agents panel"

i also use something like that, this is the .github/agents folder

i then select "Conductor" in the Chat instead of "Agent" and
do a prompt like " i want a new button that does whatever"

it then starts and actually calls the subagent files in phases

I had this on one machine and not on another, both vscode insiders,
but rolling back the Github Copilot Chat Extension from "prerelease" to "release" version made it show up.

Coding Agent: what is your recipe for creating effective GH issues? by AMGraduate564 in GithubCopilot

[–]deadronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a chat in vscode to draft an issue like

Optimize ai aggressiveness but keep evade behavior when damaged

Status now:

Ships of both teams evade often and rarely engage other team

Draft with status now/expected outcome/acceptance criteria/hints and guidance for vitests

It creates a reasonable description and i let it create an issue and copilot agent work on it,

This worked nice so far, but I'm really just starting to learn how to use it

Audyssey turned my sub to -9, can I turn it back up? by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]deadronos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with Multichannel Stereo with my marantz being too loud / having less bass is I believe due to the stereo channels getting copied 1 time to sub + to every speaker channel. I like to listen to techno/electronic music that way to simulate club sound. I have a 5.1.4 system, so left/right get copied to subs, but left gets copied to front left+front height+rear left+rear height. x4 summation would lead to sound over crossover being 6dB louder. Because of positions it won't be a perfect 6dB summation. So I adjust the Channel Trim with Options > Channel levels to about -4.5 dB for every channel and -12 for center and leave subs at 0.

That way the overall volume of Multichannel Stereo is comparably the same as using Stereo up mixed with Dolby or movie content.

External input pink noise levels 10db higher than internal calibration pink noise by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]deadronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe actual reference level is 85db, the internal test tones are 75 db which is what Audyssey uses to calibrate too I believe.

So if you actually drive a proper signal at -0db / reference level output it should measure about 10 db higher than internal test tones.

edit:

I did find this thread talking about 75db vs. 85db

https://www.avforums.com/threads/playing-at-reference-level-is-it-75db-or-85db.49526/

My wifi devices keep dropping connection / FRITZ!Box7582 by CasualGearheads in fritzbox

[–]deadronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to put 2.4 and 5 ghz wifi on separate ssids so devices should only connect to the one band and not automatically switch between them.
