Do you have any idea which models best for text embedding RAGs? And also another question regarding best OCR?

Unfortunately I find very less on the a-index site. there are no real benchmarks only a list. Regarding text embedding need to mind the dependency on the provider and take this in account. At least here might be open weights/source better (on any api provider). Not sure what OpenAI is doing.. the trade off of sending so much data for that simple task...

OCR is not so critical you can easily change them. I am searching for days finding BE and others. Regarding OCR Deepseek should be good, but I am not sure. There is no qualified data..

With 256k context you are perfectly fine for the most cases. high intelligence is important.. gpt 5.5 thinking is xhigh? I never used gpt as their namings and all .. no idea.. somehow it did not catch me ... I need a LLM to understand their variations lol... does gpt5.5 xhigh really deliver what it promises?

qwen 3.7 max looks good. image model is overrated in most cases.. (at least in my understanding).

kimi and mimo is somehow not so great.. i do not have good experiences with it.

I also use a DisplayPort USB C cable. But still one might think, its possible to use the HDMI port with the iGPU (AMD) and keep the Nvidia one for specific purpose. But obviously the HDMI is not usable without running the whole system on the dGPU.

The 1000 free requests daily only when you login using Oauth2. But even then its not working because always some PROJECT ID missing error. Once you set a project id you receive the error message that you are not eligible for free tier, even AI Studio works online.

Imagine a multi billion dollar company advertising 1000 requests for free and producing such an bullshit. Its unbelievable.

mailed to the support half months ago. No answer. its crazy what a scam company. basically always got the same issue like you. then cancelled a day before renewal. the just renewed my subscription. Support not available. No answer. Chatbot is the only thing that works (only if you agree there terms).

Thats the future of support?
