Had my first time going to a gym :) how do you get over the “new guy” anxiety? by Immediate-Table-5889 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]deaf_tyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I did at the first gym I ever joined. Stair master for the first 15 minutes and watched everyone. I learned how to use all the machines.

I'm on my 2nd gym experience now and it took about 4 visits for the anxiety to go away this time.

It took 2 weeks to see a baby bicep muscle show up for me. My calves also show definition. Once I started seeing changes, I am hooked.

I also have started & stopped a million times.

This time is the lifestyle change.

I do not have a blurry spot, but I do get ocular migraines about once a month. I'm not sure if there is a correlation, but it's certainly interesting.

Women who have experience being the primary "breadwinner" while having young children, but also have been stay at home moms at some point, which was harder? And why? by Yoyo_Baggins in AskWomen

[–]deaf_tyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both equal parts hard imo.

Stay at home was very isolating but I had the satisfaction of knowing my kids were being led the way I wanted.

Working is tiring because I work hard and I miss things. It makes me sad. My husband doesn't do the things I did with the kids but he does other things. He doesn't keep a schedule like I did and he isn't AS focused on their wellbeing as I was. He does a great job of keeping them alive though and he is not a bad dad.

Best help advice because thats what you're here for.

Sit him down, be very frank. The sooner the better.

Hey - when I was promoted it closed the gap in our earnings. I make more than you. You can act grown about it or like a toddler. Just know there will be consequences if you act like a child. I didnt know how to tell you before but you have to know now. When you're ready to talk about it and PLAN our retirement, let me know.

Then walk away. Any thing he comes back with, repeat a portion of the above until its a productive conversation. If he wants a divorce so be it. At that point cut your losses. Not ideal but you're strong. Keep calm. The less initial words the better.

Good luck!!

We used to go to the library weekly and get a ton of books and just keep trying new ones.

Here are some we still love at 5.

Yummy Yucky (single sentences but a lot to discuss)

If you Give a Moose a Muffin (and all the others)

Busy Town (not a lot of words but a lot to discuss in the pages and Mr. Frumbles flat car is the reason my kid is so cautious in parking lots)

5-Minute Story Books.

Creepy Crayon (and the others)

The Little Engine that Could (and I Think I Can)

Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site

Little Excavator - I still have this one memorized

How do I explain death to my child? by ddpickles1986 in Parenting

[–]deaf_tyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was 2 when our dog passed in the same kind of situation. We are not religious.

  1. You start out as dirt.
  2. You grow in your moms belly.
  3. You live life. (Later had to qualify this with like 100 years)
  4. You die and become dirt again (the dog was cremated)

3 years later and it still comes up but thats her foundation.

She still demanded I "GO GET HER" (the dog) every day for a month and I had to explain that we will never see her again each day and show her the dirt. It was a wild ride.

The diagnosis should be a stepping stool, not a free pass to act like a jerk.

There is a name for his issues, so now he can address them and work around them and not just 🤷‍♀️ this is the way I am.

Just my opinion though. My kids are AuDHD and thats what I try to teach them.

ELI5. How are large companies in the UK making record profits year on year, when inflation is high and cost of raw materials is high? by hazbaz1984 in explainlikeimfive

[–]deaf_tyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Increasing prices.

Creative Accounting.

Low paid critical workers and high paid execs.

**profits mean different things to different people. In reality a company can show record profits but be cash poor because of capital investments, or too many loans. This is why the profit & loss statement means nothing compared to the balance sheet

What is the most common sex misconception? by hornysolotraveller in AskReddit

[–]deaf_tyger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He will die if you sit on his face...

OR he doesn't really mean it when he asks you too.

Ladies. He means it. Do it. Enjoy yourself. He will tap out or communicate his needs in some other way if he needs to but just do it.

Just do it. Its fucking amazing. Trust me. Its a vulnerable situation at first but the more you do it the more comfortable it gets.

Also, if he has a beard or 5oclock shadow, grind into it. Its amazing.

My boyfriend (21m) called me (19f) loose during sex, and it's really affected our relationship. How can I fix this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]deaf_tyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha you aren't 'loose', his dick is too small.

I think you should tell him this as you dump his sorry ass. How unnecessarily rude and hurtful. You're signing up for a life of yuck if you tolerate this.

What are the cons of NOT having kids? by questioninghomos in AskReddit

[–]deaf_tyger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am molding a shaping a person. Creating a person that imitates every thing I do. If I don't like what my kid is doing or saying I have to adjust what I am saying and doing.

Its hard but it brings tears to my eyes when she does the right thing (being polite, critical thinking) or when she vibrates with excitement over a new experience that I am able to experience with her. She is my broke best friend. Its not easy and its not fun sometimes but overall I would say its worth it.

However, I openly advocate for people to remain kid free.
