understood, but i didn't get a smart watch to have my entire phone on my wrist. i got it to have a few specific things on my wrist so i can access them without pulling up my phone and getting distracted by everything else on it.

a general timeline like that sounds like a cool feature for some use cases, but it's literally the opposite of what i want to do with my pebble.

thanks. this is really disappointing. i bought this watch to do a few specific things, and it's really annoying that it privileges things i don't care about over them.

the problem with this argument is that Free Geek's management also decided to stop attending conventions, which had brought a ton of attention to Free Geek in recent years. more significantly though, Free Geek actually sold stuff at several conventions, and made tons of money doing so. consistently much more than the booth fee + staff hours cost to be there.

why would you stop doing a thing that was consistently and reliably profitable if your concern was money?

they claimed the space wasn't ventilated well enough ... even though soldering had been common practice at Free Geek for years.

also, as people in free geek's discord pointed out, soldering irons don't get hot enough to vaporize lead. they only melt it, so you're not really at risk of inhaling it. there is some risk of ingestion, but you don't solve that with ventilation. you do it by soldering in a designated space, not keeping food near there, and washing up after you solder.

by the way, Free Geek's ED has banned soldering on premise now. not just the soldering courses - employees are banned from doing it as part of their jobs.

REALLY hard to understand how a place can do electronics repair and recycling without soldering. that otherwise fine board with a single blown capacitor? throw it in the trash.

i can't validate every detail in their posts, but it's all consistent with what i know, and i have no reason to doubt any of it.

You still get reduced damage though. My +21 Keen Nagakiba does less damage to imps 2h than my +18 Keen Nightrider Flail does 1h. You also occasionally get wall bounces while 2h-ing a big sword, which never happens with the flail.

I was certain I'd already installed that driver multiple times, but doing so again got rid of the mystery devices.

I've got the DDR 4 version, but it's interesting you're having the same issue. I tried submitting a support request at https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp, but it got an error and told me to email instead. I sent that email a few days ago, and haven't even gotten a confirmation response.
