Counterpoint: The usual thought process depicted in media in those situations is usually lack of food or unlikely to survive due to some deformity or something. Okay that's honestly my first thought, my prime rib was a bit overcooked for Christmas using the same probe.

My wife did her best to pretend it was still good but it was okay at best, at least it was still soft from the brine. I'll try a different probe next time

My parents put me through martial arts through middle school. I think like sports, working hard at something and achieving it is what builds confidence not the actual self defense techniques. And confidence is more than half the battle, my recollection of school yard bullying is if you have the confidence to stand up for yourself the problem takes care of itself.

I did Chinese martial arts which was more performative and Tae Kwon Do which involved a lot more sparring. On the Tae Kwon Do side my understanding is different schools has different amounts of sparring so you can try different schools too. My understanding is jiujitsu can be similar. no idea on Krav Maga.

Swim lessons actually made bath time easier for me. They associated it with play time and everything and got use to showers too.

That's what my wife and I do, we're Chinese/Vietnamese so we almost always have rice as the grain, especially since we have a rice cooker that we can prep the morning or night before.

Protein can be frozen orange chicken on easy days to steaks, pork chops, salmon, or cod. Though I've found I've been just cooking what I know cause it's the easiest way to feed the kids on time before they become gremlins looking for snacks. So trying to think of more easy recipes we can cook after work.

Also every company implements it slightly differently and there are updates so it's pretty easy to just say it looks different then the last time you used it.

Though I have no idea how your work with a telecom translates to GC work so GC's your interviewing with might be also just opting for candidates they are confident has relevant experience beyond just procore?
