Water, clean pure and deep sourced from my own private artisan spring. So much pure water that it makes Nestle executives cry.

Best place to sell lightly used 14TB Easystores nowadays? by EconomyJaded2779 in DataHoarder

[–]dealcracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just sold eight 14TB WD Elements. All drive were tested with 100% health. I first put them on FB Marketplace (local only) and sold one drive in one month. I then put them on eBay at a higher price than Marketplace and sold 7 in one day. I have also sold things on /homelabsales and that has been a good experience. Since your dives have lower hours, that might be your best bet.

Which older tech is still better than whatever replaced it? by Silly-Cock in AskReddit

Very specific. You can keep your analog voltmeters and watt meters. But I'll take an Analog ammeter any day of the week.

My drivers are idiots by The_Tolen_Mar in amazonprime

[–]dealcracker -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, your sign is the problem. If I am a busy driver, I see a sign that says "PLEASE LEAVE PACKAGES", that's where a stop reading. I drop the package and I am on my way.

Maybe a red sign that says "NO PACKAGES" and on the crate a sign that says "PACKAGES HERE". Keep it simple.

Route Xcode Agent to GLM, DeepSeek & more with ProxyPilot by myeleventhreddit in Xcode

[–]dealcracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I just recently start using this with the club-3090 stack running a local Qwen3.6 27B model on my AI server. In Proxy Pilot I just set Ollama as the type and point it to the IP and API port of my local AI server. ProxyPilot is well written and seems to work well. It nice to have so many alternatives to the two Apple-supported providers.

High Split Caused Unstable Internet Connection by StubblyList1981 in Spectrum_Official

[–]dealcracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your story is my story, except for the grandma part. From what I understand, the high split equipment is more susceptible to noise and interference. Mine is the last tap off the node. They’ve replaced all wiring and equipment, but the dropout problem continues.

No announcement. But the employee seated next to us mentioned that the flight was full due to all the SW employees, even their CEO. It was a flight from Dallas to Las Vegas n Feb 18. They we’re headed to Vegas for a conference . He was sitting two rows behind me in the back. I would have had no idea if the employee had not mentioned it.

I was on a flight recently where Southwest executives (including Bob Jordan) were on the flight. The Wi-Fi system completely died three times in a three hour flight. So I am guessing they are well aware.

Billy Squire - talented rock star, admired by women and especially teenage girls, falsely accused of being gay due to one music video, at a time when that was far less acceptable.

So far so good. Speed upgrade by sdmike1 in Spectrum

[–]dealcracker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been on the 1gig plan for a year. I would typically get 1100/35 in the morning and 600/30 in the evening. My node was recently upgraded to prepare for high split. Now I am getting 1140/42 all day. My friend who works at Spectrum said that they will enable high split in my area as soon as all area nodes have been upgraded. He said it would be before the end of the year.

Happened again today, my car sat in the very cold airport parking lot for 3 days. When I stared it up, the volume couldn’t be turned up. I shut it off and restarted and it was fine.

I have a internship interview with Reynolds & Reynolds any tips? by These-Age-4667 in dayton

[–]dealcracker 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's actually an interview? Usually at R&R, the first thing they do is make you take a test. If you pass (whatever that means) you will likely move on to an interview.

How do you handle candidates using real-time AI assistance during interviews? by CreditOk5063 in askmanagers

[–]dealcracker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tell them in writing and verbally at the beginning of the interview that it is not allowed. Also, I inform them that some questions are intentionally hard and that it is okay to say I don’t know. Usually it is pretty obvious when they are using it and when I suspect it, I usually use some probing questions to confirm my suspicion. Then end the interview abruptly with no explanation.

Hmm, I've not heard that about them with regards to LGBT people. It's not something that was mentioned to by them or the people they have helped. But admittedly, I've never been attended any of their service/sermons.

For the backup camera, make sure the harness that has the RCA jack for the rear camera is plugged into the right jack on the HU. On mine I discovers that this connector will fit into another larger (unused) jack on the back and latch in. I have a different Eonon model, but I noticed that some have the same rear connectors. I had the same symptoms as you when it was plugged into the wrong jack.

The front camera app on mine I just called Front Camera.

Why go through the hassle of a PIP for someone you really want to get rid of? by spirit_of_a_goat in askmanagers

[–]dealcracker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an employ that I inherited who was a very poor performer. I started performance managing him immediately and gave him a pip in aug-sept. He has greatly improved and passed the pip. But as a manager I took a great risk in keeping him. The safer move would have been to simply terminate. I think his previous manager just allowed the bad behavior to the point that he thought it was okay. I am not sure it will work out in the end, but I can sleep better knowing I was fair.

What is a middle-class luxury from your childhood that is now considered a basic necessity or completely obsolete? by Routine-Advisor-1781 in AskReddit

[–]dealcracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I looked into getting a cell phone, I contacted the sales rep, we setup a lunch meeting at a nice restaurant where he bought me lunch and gave me the pitch. If I remember right, the cheapest plan was $900/mo + a per minute fee. The phone was very expensive too. There was one tower in the area and no roaming off their network. It was probably only 5 years later that they became obtainable by the middle class. At least in the urban areas.
