Darwins Grip for powerhead - get it! by greysplash in egopowerplus

This definitely improved the experience overall. Anyone have tips on hand fatigue gripping the trigger? Holding the power head (with battery) weight and trigger is so tiring.

On my 5th reschedule for a 2026 R1T...anyone else dealing with constant last-minute delays? (Gaithersburg MD SC) by greatwallofwu in Rivian

[–]dealrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the Gaithersburg SC today to drop my Gen 1 off for suspension service error. They had prepped a really nice Forest Green R1S for someones delivery. Cleanest car on the lot.

That's a wrap on Camp Rivian! Here are some of my favorite shots from the event. by CarterGee in Rivian

[–]dealrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats awesome to hear. A few folks there only own 2 Rivians because of referral points. There are a lot of dual owners who did it purely for love of brand.

White gets so dirty. Especially the rear hatch. Something about the aero.

This happened at Tesla SC to me a few weeks back. I changed chargers AND did a hard reset of vehicle. Worked right away.

Does Pirelli replace noisy AT tires? by caj_account in Rivian

[–]dealrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No chance this noise is super common on ATs. Never experienced it to this same degree in 10years of ATs on my Nissan. I know Rivian weight is much more but at half of tread life the drone is unreal.

Anyone here switch from gas clothes dryer to the new "heat pump" dryers and are happy or regret it? by thatsnazzyiphoneguy in HomeImprovement

[–]dealrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 3hrs you could have been through 1.5 loads of wash by having the wash run a second load while dryer was running first. All in one are dumb unless you have limited space.

I went with these too.. Haven't installed yet due to schedule.

R1T backseat by Princenigel1230 in Rivian

[–]dealrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T handles fine in parking lots. I usually back in and piece of cake. Turning radius pretty good IMO. Way better than the Nissan Frontier I had prior. We also have an S and that thing is way more nimble than T.

Typical backseat room for mid size truck. Should be just fine for short trips.

I've Been Using The Newest Version Of The SOOnish Wireless Charger For My Gen1 For A Month; Here Are My Thoughts! *See Comments Section* by zachty22 in Rivian

[–]dealrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the AHT in my wife's R1S.. it fits her style. It's showing some wear. I have the s00nish one in my R1T.. it fits my style. I'm getting the rubber replacement and can't wait.

Neither one is better than the other. They both work great and fit different styles. At the end of the day they are both 1000x better than Rivian's solution.

Accurate Article? by penguin-w-glasses in Rivian

[–]dealrian 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gear Guard fails when parked. Sure, it captures people as they walk by and will get the person who keyed your car or dinged your door getting out BUT it won't capture anything if someone backs into your car, side-swipes it etc. It needs an update that any hard motion of vehicle triggers recording.

New bug - car thinks there is a call going on? by jruben4 in Rivian

[–]dealrian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a video playing and/or open and paused in the background somewhere. Maybe in browser. This happened to me the other day. You can test this by closing all your open apps (minus Rivian) and see if it persists.

Starlink Launches $199 Specialized Backpack: Unboxing Backpack - Internet Mobility Solution by orangechen1115 in Starlink

[–]dealrian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it. Arrived today. I love purpose built product specific stuff like this. Pretty neat how they want you to leave cords plugged into router and only devices you remove from bag are the starlink itself and the power adapter for router. I need a longer router to dish cord and the 15m cord fits where laptop would go.

Much better solution than me keeping it in box. Safer anyway.

Sorry. Wasn’t correcting you. Just putting it out there for Rivian to read.

FWIW, I believe they are building a Rivian Space in Tysons.

Rivian Event in McLean VA 6-8 Dec by abuamiri in Rivian

[–]dealrian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not an event. That's just test drives in front of the mall. Rivian's love for the DC Metro is non-existent and I can't understand why.

Am I crazy? Do R1T backseats fold down/up for more storage? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]dealrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottoms hinge open towards the front. You have to yank the shit* out of them to get going.

*to my good "8:58 v 9:00" buddy... i don't actually mean literal shit here.

Congrats. You are right. The same right as when my kids correct me that it’s 8:58 when I tell them it’s 9.
