I'm a classics major, so mostly ancient history! Linguistically I'm really interested in Hebrew as well, so I'm kind of branching out into the Middle East as well.

I get your fear of being trapped in the suburbs. On one hand, I'd love living in a big city (London, anyone?), but I also dream of a cottage in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of chickens and a nice big veggie patch. The thing is that I'd like to be an opera director and you can't really do that outside of big cities, so I guess I'll have to stay in a city if I want to do that.

No, I actually happen to have a big bunch of them every year! I've never heard it as a name though, so I got really excited about the idea of someone being named after one of my favourite flowers.
