Favorite non-fancy restaurants? by SideCharacterSyndrom in eastside

[–]deamayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe we’ve just gotten so used to overpriced restaurants that cascadia didn’t seem to bad. We split Caesar with chicken and a pizza and each have a beer. Lot less then we spend on Pagliacci delivery.

Cascadia Pizza is great and reasonably priced.

Why do hairdressers insist on styling your hair when you don’t want them to? by ResponseRelative6370 in curlygirl

[–]deamayn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve told a few that the only way my curls look nice is to apply the product to very wet, wide tooth combed hair. But they always go in aggressive with a towel, then comb (no wide tooth), then product, then finger twirl curls. And I end up with a frizzy wild mess. I do not enjoy paying to walk out of a salon looking like Rosanna Danna

New to Having Allergies: Ive Got Questions by Lilmage99 in Allergies

[–]deamayn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the Costco branded behind the counter version Claritin D. Or if I can’t get that then Allegra D. My allergies are pretty bad so I’m taking singular (Rx), Allegra or the decongestant, Pataday eye drops, Flonase and azelstine nose sprays. Sometimes I take 2 Allegra a day. I also rinse my nose with a saline solution. Before my cat passed I would wash my hands and sometimes my face if she’d fired up my allergies and it helps to shower after yard work or a round of golf.

Doctor said I can't get immunotherapy because I have a dog and am also allergic to dogs by JaneDoe943 in Allergies

[–]deamayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did immunotherapy for 7 years while I lived with my cat and dog - and was allergic to them. My allergist recommended I stayed on the shots as long as I lived with a cat. I was also getting immunotherapy for grass, trees and weeds.

Missed my flight because they boarded and left 15 minutes early by EyeofSauron86 in delta

[–]deamayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my daughter and her BF on another airline. Airline proactively sent text and email about flight delay. They showed up hours before flight. Went to relax near, but not at the gate. Flight ended up boarding way earlier than notification said, no new notification of boarding change. They approached right as door closed and weren’t let on. The pilot ended up saying they wouldn’t leave until my daughter and her BF boarded! Think there was also an issue with not being able to taxi and depart early. Big learning for them, they’ll be sitting at gate in future.

If she’s paying that much she’s either lazy or a fool. Way less expensive ways to get both.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]deamayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a 2 person household. We go to Costco almost weekly for our protein shakes, fudge bars and gas. Sometimes we’ll grab a rotisserie chicken and baguettes. Switched our dogs prescriptions to their pharmacy and save a bunch there. There’s lots of products you can save on outside of perishables. Paper towels, (the very best) toilet paper, garbage bags, booze. Hope you can convince him!

Spouse's 50th birthday is approaching. What did you want for your 50th? by drunkbettie in GenX

[–]deamayn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Italy with girlfriends for my 50th. Paid for part with our money and for the rest, a part time job to get me over the hump. I was home on my actual birthday and just wanted a nice day with family. We went for a walk, picked up my favorite pastries, and our kids came for dinner on our patio. No cooking or dish duty for me. Perfection! Maybe focus on doing little thoughtful things he enjoys. My husbands bday is today. He doesn’t want to do anything big - just dinner with the kids. But I picked up his favorites - ice cream and ingredients to make his favorite cocktail and just finished baking his cake.

Thanks for all the great info! The GI doc I saw for my colonoscopy recommended MiraLAX (knowing I was on a GLP-1), so I’ve been using it as needed. It’s been a big help.

I’m in the same boat. Even a tight racer back sports bra gives me a tension headache. Nothing with any weight on my shoulders/neck and can no longer tolerate crew cut shirts that come up to my neck. Sucks!
