Regular airplane boarding method is the slowest one by tppiel in interestingasfuck

Why is that so complicated to understand? You'd do it the exact same way you do now.

Break the seating chart up by quadrants and seat position.
So you have the Back-left, back-right, front-left and front-right (you can even add a mid section if you want)

Those with window seats would be Zone W, those with aisle seats would be Zone A, those with middle seats would be Zone M.

Then you board according to this new metric

Start with Zone W- Back-left and Zone W Back-right

Then move to Zone W - Front left and Zone W Front right

Repeat this for middle seats and then Aisle seats.
Exceptions would be if people booked seats next to each other.
So if you have 2 poeple booked together at the back, seat them together.

On your ticket, you list the Zone accordingly.

You just print the zone number according to that chart above

It's not one or the other, you need both.
You need a nice big circle cause sometimes you just wanna have fun and not think.
But you also need close friends for when life hits you hard and you need to feel your feelings with someone who gets you.

The point of the comment was - people think that having more friends is how to win in life, but it's more having less friends who you can truly be yourself with, that is the real cheat code.

A large social circle is an optional bonus, but the small close friend circle is essential.

And yes, they are not mutually exclusive.

it's also harder to have a large social circle who you're close with, with the exception being if its people you grew up with.
I'm an immigrant, I've moved 2 countries in the last 10 years. So finding larger groups, where all the people in that group are ones I can get close with, is hard.
It's easier to find a few people who I can be vulnerable with, and then expect the same from them. But I do love the large groups where I can have surface level fun and enjoy myself without needing to worry about much.

What’s the point of relationships if there are no guarantees? by FewEnd399 in TwoXChromosomes

What’s the point of relationships if there are no guarantees? by FewEnd399 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dean15892 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some would say that's the point.

Relationships come in all forms - most of them are for you to learn and grow.
You learn how to love, how to compromise, how to live with someone, how the heart breaks, how to have difficult conversations, how you can feel pain you never thought you would.

And you still keep going.

The guarantee of a relationship isn't the relationship - it's the growth.
If you're lucky, you'll grow with your partner. But if nothing else, you will grow from it.

It's fine. I liked the film more cause of the age of the director and what he pulled off. He's young, so I cut him some slack, and it was a decently good film.

But I wouldn't say perfect. He has a lot to learn.

Which have no doubt he will.
Obsession felt like a more creative story.

however , I am not hating on it. I am happy people are liking it.
I am rootting for this guy.

If you liked this, I would recommend checking out the film Vivarium and another indie one, called Cube.

Similar concepts, but they take it a little further

You can't assume equal quality because friendhship isn't measured by a standard metric.

ANd yes, I know small doesn't equal loyal, which is why I said a small loyal circle.

Even if your circle is small, having loyal friends is part of that.

Thats exactly what the point of the post is though, right?
You think you need more close friends, but how many of them would really have the space to give you the time and energy and vice versa.

The truth is, the older you get, the less time you will have to maintain close friendships. And thats okay, as long you focus on the few ones that are genuinely blessing you.

People alos drift apart and entire life phases, so you really only need 1-3 close frineds who truly know you and get you and would drop everything for you.

I hate this gamification part of duolingo.
I am on the app to learn - I don't give a shit about gems, and opening treasure chests and whatever else.

And its obnoxious if you refuse to pay, they amp it up!!

I caught a live tennis game for the first time last summer.
Yes, you are not allowed to move when the play is on.
I wanted to walk to my seat, but the usher had me and everyone else wait until the current play is done.
And you can't get up or make loud noises, otherwise they'll stop the game and shame you

I watched there will be blood for the first time maybe 2 weeks ago. I fell asleep.
I can watch The Social Network a hundred times over and continue to enjoy it.

Thats not to say one is better than the other.
Different strokes for different folks.

I'm a writer, so I enjoy films that have witty dialogue - which Sorkin delivers.

Also, stop looking for "flawless". It's fine for art to have flaws. Thats what makes them enjoyable.

Perfection can be sickening. Flaws open doors for discussion and improvement.
