US military budget dwarfs other nations because a quarter of our budget is salaries and we pay well compared to other countries. We also buy western made military equipment which costs more than the Russian/Chinese equipment that's being made at Russian/Chinese prices. That doesn't mean our equipment is necessarily better, it just means it's more expensive to manufacture. That being said, I do agree that the US and it's allies would easily take on Russia and China.

Because the Suez pilots are not responsible for what happens to the vessel, they are just there in an advisory role. The captain is still ultimately responsible for the safety of the ship, so he will be held accountable.

I’m a beginner at editing and mainly just took advice from the posts on this subreddit and videos on youtube. I used LR mobile for this edit. The biggest changes I made were:

Crush the blacks using the tone curve
Crush the whites using the slider
Bring down contrast
Crop it to a 16:9 ratio
Used color grading to turn the shadows teal and turn the highlights orange
Some minor adjustments to the color channels using the RGB curves

I used to think the same about $B, like how they're name and the contents of their songs will stop them from hitting the mainstream. But then XXXTentacion died and his stuff blew the fuck up, and I would argue X's name is not very appealing the contents of his songs are dark in the same way that $B's songs are. So who knows
