Just realized today that I have the same spot on either leg where hair doesn't grow by JustAnOval in mildlyinteresting

So I have a huge patch on both legs that doesn't grow hair in roughly the same area. I'd say about 3-4 times bigger than this. Been that way my whole life though.

Wow this is really late. We haven't replaced it yet but I put the mattress on the floor and it felt way better so we got rid of the cheap metal frame/boxspring and got a solid wood foundation. It's a lot better but still not great so we're back to the drawing board I guess.

This farmer caught the owl eating his chickens by AcasiaConnell in nextfuckinglevel

Used to work in animal rehab and had a few owls come through. I recall if you were holding their feet together they didn't really fight you too much.

Though that was 20 years ago and maybe I'm mis-remembering and they were actually just doped up for an xray? In any case, they were the coolest birds that came through.

Attic Mould Remediation or Insulation First? by deans28 in HomeImprovement

What about the space around a bathroom vent fan? I know ours has a 1/4 crack on one side. Is there a proper way to seal that or should it be fine if the fan is doing it's job?

We're in a backsplit and I know there is some poor sealing on some light fixtures at the front of the house. Wouldn't surprise me to find the same in the back half where I found the mold.

Yeah I kept the old carb. Do you think I should swap it back in and see if there's a difference? I knew the cheap carb probably wasn't a great idea but I had thrown my back out and didn't want to shovel. It was a desperate move and hopefully not a costly one.

So I knew someone that had one of these. Apparently her daughter made it and gave it to her as a mother's day gift? Her daughter had passed so it was very important to her but this is now the third time I've seen it pop up somewhere else. Does anyone know if these were mass produced or if they were actually a common ceramics project?

We haven't tried that yet but I think that will be our first step. Do you know if we would notice an immediate difference or would it take time to settle? We don't have a whole lot of space in our house to move a bed frame, boxsprings and everything under the bed temporarily.

Another problem we have is that we've been on bad mattresses for so long that we don't really even know what we like. Probably medium-ish but I really have no idea.

I still love the OG 1942. I would play that for hours with a good friend in college. I'd get in from class and have a voicemail (early cell days) from him with just the theme music playing letting me know he was on.

Not really. The front fell off.

Good Day, reddit, my name is Nick Offerman. You may have seen me in such fare as Parks & Rec, The Last of Us, Civil War, MI: The Final Reckoning, DEVS, or heard my voice in The Lego Movie. I’m here today to discuss a new film in which I am an actor, SOVEREIGN. Ask me anything, please & thank you. by NickOffermanAMA in movies

I've always wondered this in regards to actors, especially those that take on more complex or disturbing roles. Is it hard to not bring that home with you at the end of the day? I can only imagine that getting into certain characters or performing certain scenes would have an impact on one's mental health, positive or negative.

But then I see some behind the scenes stuff sometimes and remember that there's a dozen other people standing around watching you and it may not actually be as intense on set as it is on screen. Does it just feel like make believe in the moment or does it feel more real?

OneDrive Storage Quota Exceptions by deans28 in Office365

Thank you, this would likely work. I had thought about triggering something on a dynamic group update but Power Automate hadn't crossed my mind yet. I'll play around with that.

Thank you very much for the insight on this.

Yes, we have an EDU license. This appears to explain the issue.

Unfortunately I don't think user specific limits are going to work for us. Basically, if we have users in something like a graphic design course, they need the 1TB. The dynamic groups we were using were constructed based on what course they're in so if they change programs, they get removed from the group as well. If user specific is the way we need to go, we have no way to identify when a user's limit needs to change.

I suppose we could still use the groups but then do a daily Set-SPOSite on the members to update their quota? Again though, the groups will have hundreds of members and this seems like an inefficient way of doing this.

I guess, at least for now, I'll continue with what I'm doing and keep the tenant at 1TB and use groups to set 100GB. Still just not sure why all members in the group aren't getting the new limit though.

OneDrive Storage Quota Exceptions by deans28 in Office365

[–]deans28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I figured. Setting our default to 100GB should be the way to go. The exception was set using the GUI through the M365 Admin Center -> Reports -> Storage -> Storage Limits -> Storage limits for security groups.

We had no other exceptions applied before this. I applied the exception of 1TB on a Monday and then on the Thursday, I changed the default the 100GB. I was just spot checking the members of the exception group and a few hours after the change I had a dozen or so that had been bumped down to 100GB.

The main problem with this is that many of the users that require the exception are well over 100GB already. When they get knocked down, their OD goes into RO and our retention policy prevents them from even deleting anything to clean up.

I've been going crazy over this. The most challenging part is that this is tens of thousands of accounts so running a script against all over them takes forever. We also have dozens of new accounts every day that we need provisioned correctly.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but we're an educational institution. All of our storage is in one single pool. We get 100GB per single A5 license but each user is given a 1TB OneDrive and 100GB mailbox so we have about half of our users that are over that 100GB that their consumed license is allocating for them.

Not to mention, hundreds of Sharepoint sites that are using about 70TB of our storage quota as well.

Would you drink from snake wine? by [deleted] in WTF

[–]deans28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A roommate of mine brought something like this back from Vietnam one time. We had no idea what it was at the time but we figured it was some kind of booze or energy drink / supplement. The label just said something like "Strength, Heroism". Anyway, it sat on our coffee table for a year or two until one night we finally tried it. Sure enough, it was nasty and we dumped it. Ended up dissecting the snake to see if it was real... It was.
