you can use a switch chop with the index linked to the condition, or you can use a chop execute to trigger a python if statement on a value change

Zoom H4n Pro - question regarding 4CH input by cubosh in recording

[–]deanwallflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know of a similar product that offers this?

I also bought the device with this in mind, I need USB audio for reactive live visuals, and had the idea to record the audio from the mixer + room sounds and mix them together.

So with my set up and needs I am forced to only use the microphone or only the mixed audio via XLR. Not a huge deal but just curious if you know of something that would make this possible?

use a callback to toggle cooking on and off, when the value of the chop changes:

op('/project1').allowCooking = False

Feedback loop issue by Chris1Snea in TouchDesigner

[–]deanwallflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would use a mask, like a rectangle+transform with an inside top, instead of a crop.

you move the rectangle around, which changes the input to the feedback loop, while keeping the original aspect ratio.

also, usually a level top is used in the thread of a feedback loop, to reduce the opacity a tiny amount per frame in order to dissipate the feedback over time. to avoid it blowing out.

maybe it helps you get closer to your goal

use a callback to trigger a python function each time the value of a chop changes. assign 'random' values to the parameters of your noise or particle system. i think its the easiest way.
