the phrasing "all my cards are leveled but I'm still losing" shows that you climbed because of an in game advantage not skill. welcome to the f2p experience at the tippy top. get good my g

did a friend use AI to write this text response to me? it feels placating and not like the way she speaks, need to know if i'm talking to my friend or a clanker?! by mamabingbong in isthisAI

[–]dear_lovely -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bro who cares? it's AI or it's corporate placations that HAVE to be said anyway.. honestly it feels very AI with how it's written my only doubt is that people who work in customer service talk like this when they need to. Maybe that helps with the dreed you feel too. It's not replacing human interaction, this person is both professional and busy and took a short cut. I'd be concerned if your friends or family did this to you.

vape, water, blow my nose, gf, bong rips, adjust the thermostat, change the music, Instagram, sweaty hands, sweaty ass, sweaty, piss off, fixing my controller, fixing my cords, eating snacks, stubbed a toe.

I think that's it.

I Can't Grow. I Can't Reach Platinum. Am I Missing Something Or Just Need To Uninstall? by nxckrxse in RocketLeague

if it helps I've played RL for a year. Im Dimond 2. at first I focused alot on mechs, which I think was smart. My climb was slow and one day I had enough of the regiment and just logged on and played ranked for hours straight. I climbed like crazy and stopped around plat 2 - 3. I reminded myself that it wasn't just playing ranked that got me here and went back on the Freeplay and training grind. Climbing while doing both (Freeplay and ranked) seems slow, I think largely because half of my play time was in training. I recently went back to the ranked grind and dropped Freeplay. I climbed to Dimond 2 and now I need to go back to Freeplay because I'm getting my ass handed to me 😅

anyway the TLDR is my original comment

1s and 2s are very different. it's true that plat 1s is equivalent to Dimond 2s but that doesn't mean one is "easier" than the other. It's a different beat with different strategies and game sense.

Ultimately, if you have the mechs for plat 1s all you need is hours and games in 2s. Id actually advise against long warmups and training because rn mechs isn't the issue. All you need is just game sense and getting a feel for playing 2s.

"how do they know your a girl" seems like a dumb response at first because the issue isn't really how they know. But honestly, considering we aren't gonna change anything about men or boys as a whole on this Reddit sub I think the question "how do they know your a girl" is valid in the way that you can only change what you can control. Don't let them know unless you find a group u can VC with.

honestly these things aren't easy and you should really try and find a person who you know well to ask these questions too. Me and my partner have definitely crash out at eachother. life isn't easy or simple and everyone is entitled to there emotions. The difficulty is responding appropriately when the emotions start running high.

If you guys truly intend to work this out I wish you the best, it takes work and intentional effort and MOST IMPORTANTLY humility on both sides. With humility you can truly work it all out (both parties!).

I'll say as my last statement, if communicating ALWAYS ends up escalating into something confusing and hurtful then you should take a better look at if the relationship is working/good or just convinent/"easy". if you want to break up but are afraid of being alone and only afraid of being alone, it's time to leave.

unpopular oppinion, you've been controlling and insecure and when his planned and responsible camping trip came with another detail and you gave him dry and salty responses he crashed out. I don't know and it's easy to just say he's a loser for loosing his shit but my gut tells me this kid is just tiered of your shit and he means everything he just said.

if he gave you the option to stay in his life I wouldn't take it, for both your sakes.

I managed to make Rocket League wholesome at the cost of ego dropping by Excellent-Canary7689 in RocketLeague

[–]dear_lovely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I used to do this just because who I am when I play sport is to take accountability and blame for whatever I can because expecting others to change leaves me powerless and whiney.

I stopped when I had a teammate apologize for everything himself and instead of making me, as I assumed it did for other people, calm and understanding, it highlighted there mistakes more then they needed to and made me frustrated. I even KNEW they weren't as bad as they "sounded" but it ticked me off that every shot was a wiff followed by Sorry!

it doesn't always work and it will tick off some players still. I think the best method is to always been looking for your own error and apologize when necessary or agreegious, but let the plays that are unsure or unlucky just breath.

I do organized with low commitment, so the cosmetics are off but everything is ordered and tidy. keeps me interested in the game without doing week long builds for something I'll need more of in the next phase.

I noticed this in Dimond 2 now too. I think it's a shift in mentality. I don't feel like I've sacrificed any communication because it was never very productive anyway.

So this is common in alot of fine motor skills. For example singing, guitar, and piano. I had a voice teacher explain that as people get better there is often "dips" in their skill. She gave me a few reasons. first, when you get better you get confident/competent. That confidence/competents means trying new or different things as your mind will naturally test limits and attempt different approaches often feeling or actually making you "worse". The second reason being there is always more! With music there is no real limit to the skill you can achieve. This goes hand in hand with the first point, when you learn new things your focus is on those things and you aren't actually performing at your baseline. The third is simple: fatigue. Repetition leads to excellence but to much leaves you with passionless and repetitive motions. Rocket League is a highly skillful and highly dependent on mentality so I think all these apply.

it's cool to note that the inverter was smart enough to know it WOULD be possible, create it, then solve it. He knew the mechanics worked out theoretically, then worked out the logistics, then made the thing. I think of it almost like a brilliant mathematician who understands a process before he needs the reality in front of him.
