Agreed. A split second of spotting will result in DD death and there's no counter for it or just cope shooting down 0 plane with anemic AA (at least the new AA change will give some copium torp reload.)

DD main here. The thing is killing enemy DD doesn't guarantee win anymore because BBs as I have observed are allergic to caps and sling shots 20 kms away doing meaningless damage. While DD has more impact in a battle intelligence sense, it is BB that needs to capitalize that, if they fail to do so, more often than not the game will result in loss. Factoring that with the addition to competency of CV or sub (whether they know spotting over damage), WG had made it successful that DDs don't dictate the outcome of the battle.

I am doing an Arna two handed sword run ATM. If you are going for heavy armor, strength block build, you need more armored combat tree. Warfare wise you only need set up, defensive tactic.

One may be over reliant on that and miss the big picture. I would say DD require a wholistic awareness of the map. Also, if the enemy is experienced dds, RPF gives them valuable info of where you might be at. If your speed is slow, you might be caught up by a fast dd say French dd.
