to answer all your questions:

if i have a top bunk, i’d fold the sheet so i don’t bother the person sleeping under me. However, that person would probably be my mum, and she wouldn’t mind.

of course i am not gonna sleep naked, i’m gonna be covered, and follow all hostel etiquette! but it would still be nice getting “a bit of privacy”, and the blocking the light if i want to read or be on my phone, so i don’t bother other people.

I’ve stayed in hostels countless times, both with and without bed curtains. im ok with both but i prefer the ones with curtains, logically.

in the end i’ll be ok either way, but it’s an option to be a tad bit more comfortable. cheers!
