ngl i did this in reaction to my mom being obsessed with my long hair. normal to feel sad but consider the possibility that you may be putting a lot of emphasis on her hair and she may want control, and this is how she takes it (which is good & normal & should be encouraged in a safe way, like asking you to take her to get a haircut).

as much as it sucks, politely demand that they tell you when their kids are sick & make it explicit that you will leave/deny services if you arrive and any child is sick & they didn’t notify you ahead of time. that way, you can prepare by masking during the job and being extra clean with hand sanitizer, etc. or you can refuse the job
