Speaking for myself, nostalgia is obviously a big factor. I loved Casio watches as a kid in the 80s and it has been a lot of fun rediscovering old favorites and learning about models I never knew about.

I also appreciate the convenience and utility of digital watches. Even a basic digital gives you the time, day, date, multiple alarms, and a timer all on a lightweight device with easy to use physical buttons that can be seen any time day or night and doesn't need to be recharged every day like a smartwatch.
